Staff Review

Shu Shomogalmen in The House, a.k.a. Dave McCaul. Talking about the Forum Aura snowboard boot, supper sick snowboard boot. Really, really good all mountain snowboard boot for the women. What you're looking at on this one first off you got heat moldable liner. Super clutch it's going to pick up all your foot structure, like your ankle structure, your arch, it will custom mold to your foot, basically just by wearing it, or if you have a shop near you, you can heat mold them at the towers they have. Basically it is designed to be body heat active. Wear them around the house for 2 to 3 hours, 2 to 3 days in a row and you will see it pick up every contour of your foot.
From there you got a power strap on this to help keep everything together, help keeping the tongue centered. This 3D molded tongue so it fits really good over the front of the calf. You have extra support here it's going to help hold the ankle in really good give you less heel lift. It also helps stiffen up the liner just a hair.
From there moving to the shell of the snowboard boot, got the traditional lace system to it. Really helps to reduce the tension of the lower part verses the upper part. And really, really comfortable. The cool thing about this one is that it has the harness that holds the liner in the snowboard boot itself rather than having on the liner. This is going to take the whole liner and pull it towards the back with your heel in it. Definitely easier, a lot less heel left in it then the ones with just the laces on the liner itself.
Other than that you've got really, really nice waterproof synthetic leather with corduroy construction. Nice gum rubber sole it's going to be really gripy on icy terrain. It's got a pretty aggressive tread too so you will get by if your hiking as well. From there flex is going to be somewhere in the middle of the road, I would say looking 1 being a soft snowboard boot, 10 being a stiff snowboard boot right around a 5. So it really does all types of routing well. Pad has a little bit of a free style shift to it just cause Forum has a whole it is going to do that too.
Other than that it is a really, really good product. Forum's stuff comes out of the Burton production facilities now and that's a positive for the company. They got all the original guys running it, designing the product, put in with the Burton production facilities. Their product increase is really, really good along the way. Super solid snowboard boot. Being the most important part of the package the Forum Aura snowboard boot is a good one to get.
