Staff Review

Dave McCaul here at The House, talking about the Flux Emblem snowboard binding. By far, the snowboard binding that sell more than any other one. Really, really good price point on these snowboard bindings, and if you put them in your package, it's going to make a cheap overall price for you, for sure. Reason why I sell so much, first of all, the Flux stuff is all they make is snowboard bindings. They have a super-good focus. This stuff never comes back on warranty.
From there, the lower price point. The Flux Emblem snowboard bindings definitely got the smoothest operating ratchet on both exit and entrance. Really smooth, really reliable. Metal arms so it won't break in the cold. These straps on these things are ridiculous for the price point they are at. They are 3D-molded this way and this way as well. Really match up with the contours of the boot really well. Require virtually no break in and are extremely soft and comfortable.
The toe strap can be rocked as ever a toe cap strap or an over the top strap. Lot of people don't know it but, Flux actually invented the toe cap. And then some other company that starts with a B stole it from them. But they won a lawsuit, got some money from them, so that's all good. The base plate on this one is actually pretty nicely padded. You've got padding in the heel, and then you actually have padding in the toe ramp. The toe ramp does telescope out, for people with larger feet. Nice padding on the high back.
Flex rating on the base plate, I would say you are looking at a little bit of a more softer, flexing snowboard binding. One being super soft, 10 being stiff, the base play sits at about a four, and the high back is going to sit about a three. Really stiff up the center spine so your heel setter responds on point. But if you are tweaking out of air, doing a sole carve, what have you, the edges are very soft so it's a very forgiving kind of surfy feeling to the snowboard binding. Quick adjustments on everything. Forward lean and the ankle strap. Just a super, reliable, well-priced snowboard binding. And like I said my best seller, I highly recommend the Flux Emblem snowboard bindings.
