Paddy OStaff: Yes, the Fischer RS 11 Ski Bindings will fit a ski with a waist of 98mm. They are a great intermediate binding with DIN settings between 3 and 11. I recommend mounting them on an intermediate ski. The Dynastar Cham 87 has a waist of 87mm but has been getting rave reviews for the 2014 skis. Check them out:

A shopper asked: Just bought the Teton Floater Rockers, 171cm, 96mm waist width. Will these bindings work? The brake size says 78mm and I know nothing about sizing bindings, but that seems like it could be a concern...enlighten me please! Dec 9, 2013

Paddy OStaff: A brake width of 78mm will not fit a ski with a waist of 98mm. It is recommended to have a brake width of 5-10mm more than the waist of the ski. Dec 12, 2013

Jason: Why will this binding fit a ski of waist width 98 mm, but not 96 mm as stated in a previous answer to a question asked right here? Dec 14, 2013
Paddy OStaff: These brakes on these bindings are narrower than the ski's waist width. Now, the bindings can me mounted on the skis if your get a brake that is wider than the waist width of the ski. It is recommended to have a brake that is 5-10mm wider than the waist of the ski. Dec 16, 2013
