The Kona combines the best from the past and present with a lot of input from the classic longboard surf designs with its ability to ride soft, long waves in marginal conditions. Additionally, the planning threshold has been dramatically reduced by implementing a “step tail” which shortens the waterline when powered up, and boost the board on the plane much earlier than conventional longboards.
