    Pros: Comfortable, Cons: 1

Was planning on ordering a Motobecane Fantom when this one came out. I checked the components, and it seemed about equal or at least satisfactory to get started. Also looked at the Nashbar Big Ol' Fatbike, but I prefer the aluminum frame, slightly tighter frame geometry, plus the included pedals and extra wheelset made it a great deal.

Stephanie R: I purchased this jacket for my son who is usually a men's medium. I was surprised when it came how big it was. That being said it still fit, it just fit very loosely. He wears it as a top layer, which is what I believe it was intended for anyway. Nov 6, 2013

Brandon S: Not sure. I'm 6'2' 200lbs and I wear an extra large. It is on the bigger side though because I like more space in my jackets. Nov 6, 2013

A shopper asked: how big should you get it and is it warn for east-cost riding? Oct 20, 2013

Brandon S: I bought this jacket in the same size I wear in regular sweatshirts/hoodies.

I'm 6'2 and weigh 200 lbs...I bought an extra large.

It's definitely warm enough for "normal" cold temperatures...I would consider normal anything about 0 degrees. I wore this jacket 2 days ago when I went boarding and it was nice and warm in 10 degree weather.

However, it is not a super heavy jacket...so it may not be good for negative temps or high wind chill.

Noah B: I'm 5'9" and I got a large. I love the fit because it is baggy but not overwhelming. Goes down to middle-upper thigh. Also I live on the east coast and it is a bit flashy for east coast riding but that just gets me comments from random people on how cool the jacket looks. Oct 21, 2013

Roy MStaff: The DC Amo Snowboard Jacket is a regular fit snowboard jacket that does not require you to size up. Go with the size that you regularly rock and you'll be fine.
As for riding on the East coast - all you need to do is layer and you'll be all good.

Gavin H: DC runs big. I'm 5`10" 160 lbs. The small fits me well. It's not the warmest jacket. I have worn it when it's in the 30`s with a warm sweater and I was fine. Oct 21, 2013

A shopper asked: normally on normal clothing i have a size xl (european size) but on snowboard jackets mostly a large does fit. my question : is this jacket more loosely ? cause i'm daubting of bying an L or XL ... if the jacket is on the small size .. i probably buy a XL then. can anyone help me with this ? Dec 1, 2013

Brandon S: I wear an XL shirt/sweatshirt for all my normal clothing (American XL)...I own an XL of this jacket and it's a little bit too big...but I like my snowboard clothes to fit a little loose for extra range of movement.

I think I would have been just fine with the large...is really up to you if you want something more tight fitting or a little looser.

I'm 6'2 195 pounds (88.5 kg) to give you a frame of reference.

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Roy MStaff: A bit on the chilly side. The DC Amo Snowboard Jacket will take care of you but you'll need to layer...coat alone won't do the trick...when layering stay away from cotton and look for Merino wool. Oct 21, 2013

Michael A: No it's a pretty light, 5k mm jacket.

I'll throw a hoodie underneath if it's anything 25 (F). It's definitely a more spring weather jacket

juan antonio s: i bought this jacket in biking red and it was darker than the picture but is a really nice jacket really light is perfect for riding and it has a really soft feel when you put it on, i really recomend this jacket but the colors are really dark if you are looking for something bright this is not your best choice. hope i be helpfull sorry for my english im not from the us. see ya in the slopes Aug 12, 2013
James S: I purchased the brighter option (blue jay it looks like). It may just be an image glitch with the website, but Blue Jay is definitely as bright as it looks in the small image (lime green at the bottom, white in the middle, and a bright sky blue at the top). Mine doesn't look anything like that black, grey, turquois one you're seeing. Aug 13, 2013

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Roy MStaff: No we will not be getting the Blue Jay, in large, back in stock. At this time DC is telling us that they will not be able to restock it.
We do however have this season's version of this jacket available in a very similar color way - the Methyl Blue found at http://www.the-house.com/dc3amo02bk14zz-dc-snowboard-jackets.html.
