I got this bag last year (in the autumn plaid, the cute stripes were sold out, but the plaid is still really nice and def. stood out in the baggage claim should you ever check it. and doesn't show dirt) AND I LOVE IT. The fabric is very durable, you can just feel it. I've taken this bag across the country on at least 14 flights now (checked & carried on), and there is no visible wear and tear at all! I was nervous about the wheels wearing down on rough sidewalk, but they are actually still almost brand new looking. (I don't know if they will be replaceable, but by the looks of it, that is irrelevant).
Split level means that when you open the bag, there are 2 mesh covers that you can zip over each side (top half and bottom half) of the bag. very useful for cramming lots of stuff in while squishing it down. plus, you can stash other stuff in between too.
I've stuffed it full and it still fit in the overhead compartment on a AA flight no problem, although i had to just make some people angry about my fat bag taking up their room, but they can just deal. Just don't get carried away by how much you can fit and you'll be fine. (obviously protruding objects in the outer pouches will prevent it from fitting overhead) Oh yeah, and the bottom half of the bag doesn't have a flat inside because of the 2 bars of the roller contraption. that's prob like all suitcases, but just saying..

We were about to buy this bag, I pulled out my carry on cheat sheet and this bag FAILS by a massive 3 .
And yes in this case (get it) size really does matter.
Unless you travel biz class you may well find yourself checking this bag with half the carriers in the EU.
Your flights will most likely code share, and many are now @ 18 x 14 x 9. and it is not like the mail, you cant add them up , 18 is the real max length. SO if you have stuff you dont want to check no matter what, make sure you have at least one carry on that meets the spec.

Just returned from a week-long international trip with this suitcase as my only piece of luggage. I was able to fit all my belongings as well as a bunch of gifts/souvenirs in this bag without even expanding the top compartment. It is the perfect size for air travel as it fits nicely in the overhead compartment so I never had to check my bag. The suitcase is very well-constructed with sturdy materials and a great design - I particularly love the very smooth heavy-duty zippers and the nice wheels on this bag. Not only was this bag very functional and exactly what I needed for travel, it also looks great too - I got it in a very nice plaid pattern, and didn't see anything else that looked similar at all while running around in 3 different airports. I really love this suitcase, and am confident that anyone looking for a nice carry-on would too.

I got this bag to replace my old, weary carry-on roller bag. I chose a lively print (Autumn Plaid) for easy identification at the airport should I choose to check my bag.
The fabric is heavy-duty and the seam edges at the corners have been reinforced with plastic protectors. There are 2 external pockets for easy access in the car or on the plane. There are 2 sections, each with their own mesh flap: one in the lid and the other in the main body of the suitcase. The lid compartment is not padded, so you might have to pack strategically to prevent damage to your belongings. The bottom (main body) compartment is padded and the back part of the luggage is protected by the hard plastic frame for the handle to the wheels. The padding on the side walls is still pretty light, so pack wisely.
The fabric is water resistant and you can feel that the inside of the fabric is rubbery.
I like this bag. It is lightweight and easy to handle. There are handles on the long side and the short side. I typically pad my suitcase with shoes along the border anyway, so this should protect my bag contents. The only downside I can see is that the bad doesn't stand upright very well. It's stands okay on the side. For $36 though, I'm not complaining.

I have 2 of these bags and they are PERFECT for traveling. They hold a surprising amount and fit perfectly in overhead bins.
