great recommendation
I e-mailed the site and was responded to by a very knowledgeable sales rep, explained what I needed, got a recommendation for a sail (that was on sale) within a day.......I waited a year (the next sailing season for Maine), re-contacted the sales rep and ordered the sail. It was delivered to my door in a couple days. Pretty darned good service!

I am looking for a sail for my boyfriend for Christmas. He sailed a little bit growing up but hasn't done it in years and wants to get back into the sport. He has a old board and fins but nothing else. What else do I need for him and what would be the best size/type of sail for him? He is about 6'1, 175 lbs. Also does any sail work with any board or would I need to get one to fit the board he already has?

Best Answer: Elizabeth,
The powerglide is a very solid sail - and a great gift idea.
However when selecting the square footage of a sail once needs to consider the wind conditions that it will be used in, board as well as riders size. Also what other sails are in the person's quiver...we can get deep quickly here.
I would advise you to contact one of our gear heads at 800.992.7245 and they can really help you out.

Good luck.
