I have a tendon base and it is too stiff for learning to water start, the whole board gets scooped up.

will this work with "seatrend" and Fanatic hot rabbit as well as A 460cm carbon RDM mast, and a 400cm carbon skinny?

Best Answer: Hi there,

I bought this base last year. I use it with a 430 Chinook SDM mast using a chinook SDM extension. For this to be used with an RDM mast, you will need the RDM extension.

As for the board suitability, please note that the twist-on rubber is bolted to the base with a separate bolt and the actual bolt that goes into the windsurf slot is off-center. So that's why there is no separate base plate that comes with the gadget. However, I did get a separate base plate and after careful measuring I punctured a hole on the base plate such that after screwing the bolt it got aligned with the base plate. So you will have to watch out for this -- this is unlike the Euro-pins where the rubber and the bottom bolt is a single entity and aligned dead center. Hope this helps. --sina
