Sellout Risk: Extremely High
Columbia Packed Out Omni-Heat Shoes are a super-cool hybrid of slip-on shoe and insulated slipper. The Packed Out Shoes are sturdy enough to wander around anywhere outdoors, but laid-back enough to lounge in all day watching your favorite movie and eating ribs on the couch. Made from Columbia's "Omni-Heat" material, a reflective thermal fabric that works with your own body heat to keep you warmer, but they don't just stop at warmth. With a padded, ergonomically designed, molded foot bed, they're meant for comfortable walking as well.
Packed Out Omni-Heat
I bought these slippers to mainly use when driving to the hills to ski and snowboard. However, I just recently realized how incredibly awesome these are. I don't want to call them slippers because they're more comfortable, warm and water resistant than my shoes. To give an example, I just shoveled seven to eight inches of snow in these and my feet never got wet, cold or moist and actually had fairly good traction. Just wish I could wear them at work.
I recently purchased these and honestly when I opened them I was a little skeptical because they are very lightweight and the insulation was really thin. However, I tested them out last night when it was around negative 5 degrees out and I honestly fell in love with them.
As far as I'm concerned they're magic, because the bottom is rubber with great traction (tested them in the snow!), they weigh about one third of what my shoes weigh, they're easy to get on and while the rest of my body was freezing my feet were warm and comfortable while it was negative 5 degrees outside. Honestly, if the back Achilles section was longer, I'd probably replace them with my regular shoes as my winter shoes. Seriously worth the money.
