I wiped my deck with alcohol before sticking the studs on the day before I went snowboarding to ensure the adhered to a clean surface. We went to VT and temperatures were between 0-15 for most of the trip so that may have been a factor, but each stud eventually fell off over 3 days.
I was never a fan of studded stomp pads until i got these. I never thought they looked good and I always figured that a regular stomp pad would be better. The reason why I changed my mind is because a friend at a snow shop told me studs are good because they prevent snow from building up and getting stuck in the stomp pad because you can separate far enough apart where that won't happen. I love these and they do a great job. I recommend this product to anyone with a board. and I love the colorful ones because they will brighten up any board.
I put these on my Aftermath and have been really happy with them. I heated up the 6 of them before putting them on to my board to ensure that they adhered the best they could, and they have yet to lose one on a cold winter day. they're also great for knocking the snow off of the bottom of your boot beofre you strap in!
Ordered some silver ones. But hey came black and said "silver" on the package. These things are awesome, really grippy. I put mine on the night before so it would stick and had zero issues with them falling out the next day on the mountain.
I read a few reviews before buying them. I'm glad I cleaned my board and heated before applying the studs. They've stuck through several board trips and provide great traction in powder and ice. Definitely recommend if you're willing to install it right and want a clean looking stomp pad.
