  • "Love these!"

    , AL
Pros: Warm, Great details, Solid design Cons:

My hands are always cold - except when I'm wearing these! Put a hand warmer in the pocket and you're good to go no matter what. Had 'em for years and plan to buy another pair this season.

  • "very warm mittens"

    , Sydney, NSW
    Pros: very warm, Cons: none,

My gf has these mittens. She gets cold very easily and now after wearing these mittens she never complains anymore! Perfect mittens. They are so warm that she doesn't wear the inners that come with them. Runs a bit small for those of you who wear wrist guards so get bigger size than normal.

  • "Love the Mittens!"

    , OLATHE, KS
    Pros: warmth, dry, Cons:

Great mittens. They kept my hands warm and dry in the sub 15 degree weather. My old gloves tore pretty quick, but these have a season on them and are still in great shape. Buy them now!

  • "Nice Mittens"

    , DEER PARK, IL
Pros: Burton quality, warm, seems durable Cons: a bit smaller than expected,

Got this for my wife last year and it works pretty well. Good mittens for the season-end sale price that I bought it at. Not sure if I would pay full price for it though.

  • "These mittens Rock!"

    , MARIETTA, GA
Pros: Waterproof, gore-tex glove inserts, Cons:

I bought these Mittens last year and they are great! I had a pair of Dakine gloves but my pinky fingers would freeze on cold days. With these mittens all my fingers are very warm. The liners are gloves which makes it easy to get in your pockets and stuff. The palm side of the mittens is rubberized which gives them a good grip and ice won't stick to them.

  • "Great gloves!"

    , AL
Pros: Warmth, Waterproof, Cool extras Cons:

These are great gloves and bought them end of season last year for a great price! I bought the large and wear wrist guards underneath. I think they actually run true to size... I would normally wear a medium.

  • "In love with these mittens!!!"

    , Astoria, NY
Pros: waterproof and warm, comes with liners, has a soft cloth on the thumb for face wiping!!!! Cons: very thick gloves,

These mittens are great! I had been keeping my eye on them for awhile. They are super warm and keep you dry - the gortex material is high quality. It has a softer material on the thumb for wiping your nose or face and the wrist straps are easy to adjust while wearing the mitten. I bought the black ones and they look sleek. The glove liners have a nice grip to them too. Plus there is a pocket for a glove warmer. They are pretty thick mittens which can make handling small objects a but more difficult but the thickness must be what keeps your hands warm. I bought a size small (I wear a 6.5 size leather glove) and they are a perfect snug fit.

  • "Good for Burton"

    , abbotsford, BC
Pros: Liners and wrist straps, Cons: material ,

I like these mitts, and they get the job done. The wrist straps are great, and the liners make sure your hands stay dry. The only thing I don't like is how stiff they are. It's even hard to do my bindings up. They should have a leather palm or something. Other than that, they are warm and fairly waterproof.

I bought these for my wife and although she was reluctant at first to wear mittens, there was one day with temps in the high teens and she was screamin praise for how warm they were. I honestly believe the gloves kept her riding longer as opposed to retiring to the lodge.

Pros: warm, sturdy, Cons: limited movement,

My girlfriend owns a pair of these and she doesn't complain about her hands being cold anymore. She constantly had problems with different types of gloves but the mittens stay WARM. We really haven't gotten to try them out in super cold conditions yet, but its nice to know that they have plenty of room to slip in a hand warmer if needed! Get these!

  • "Worth every penny"

    , AL
Pros: Warm, Removable liner, Stash pocket Cons:

These mittens are sick. They come with liners and they are so warm that I only used the liners a few days last year. They have a goggle wipe on one glove and a nose wipe on the other, plus the cute but dorky straps to put on your wrist so you don't drop your glove on the chair! Did I mention that there's a pocket for a hand warmer? It's also great for holding 20$ so you have a little cash on the mountain that's easily accessible.

  • "Awesome Mittens"

    , Hoppers Crossing, Vic
    Pros: Waterproof, Warm, Cons:

These mittens are great! The inner skin keeps your hands warm and the actual mitten is very waterproof. There's plenty of room to move around inside of them as well. I like all the little features like the goggle wipe and the string to loop around your hand so you don't have to hold your gloves (you can just dangle them off your wrist).

  • "I'm in luuuvv"

    , ARLINGTON, VA
Pros: Made with Gore-Tex, Super warm, fleece lined, Come with glove liners Cons: Order up 1 size if you have longer fingers like me, Just a note for others: I have very slender hands, & the mitts are a perfect fit with the liners on

Between the Gore-tex, the fleece lining, adjustable wrist straps, AND the mitt liners I doubt the woes of cold hands will hold me back this year. BUT just in case, I can always stuff hotpacks in the compartments on the top-side of the mitts as a back-up plan. Better believe my friends are jealous of my new found treasure! I'm a smaller person, so ordering up didn't come naturally, BUT I'm so glad I listened to the other reviews. I have long slender hands, and if you do as well then be sure to order up one size. With the liners on, the mitts were a pretty perfect fit.

    , VALLEY COTTAGE, NY
Pros: Warmth and fit, Cons: tight when you wear the inners,

Gloves arrived as described. Nice and warm, I didn't even need to wear the liners. I got a small which fits perfectly with no liners but a little bit tight and hard to get on with liners on. They don't look bulky at all. Would recommend these gloves.

  • "pretty sweet mittens!"

    , PHILADELPHIA, PA
    Pros: warm, dry, comfortable Cons:

Got these in a S and they fit great. They came with a liner too, which will definitely come in handy for days when it's colder out or when pulling out the camera/blowing your nose. :)

  • "theres a reason these r rated #1"

    , manchester center, AL
Pros: Xtra warm, layers, Cons: its a mitten,

Lets not lie, mittens are not a snowboarders best friend. But if you give a girl a 2 layer mitt that is warmer than all competition, you have a customer for life. First layer/liner can be worn alone when using camera or blowing nose. Use mitt by itself on warmer days or together on the eastern blue ice sort of days.

    , Amaroo, ACT
Pros: Great waterproofing and warmth, Feel awesome inside, Cons: I found them to be on the smaller side.,

Similar to the gore glove I found these to be on the small side. I love them to bits, and they do a great job, but I'd possibly go for a medium over a small next time.

  • "you gotta love these"

    , SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA
    Pros: warm, price, gore-tex Cons:

I love these mittens. I always go for regular gloves cause I thought mittens were not comfortable. I was so wrong! These mittens are warm, cozy and keep my hands dry all day. I have small hands so I got size small but I could easy go for size medium because they fit tight (but not too tight). Overall great buy, great price...but where is the snow???

    , OAKLAND, CA
Pros: Warm, Easy to use, Nice design Cons:

I have nothing bad to say about Burton Mittens. They are super warm and comfy to wear. What I particularly like is that the sleeve part is big enough to put over your jacket or under your jacket to avoid cold snow from breaching precious warm skin. Easy to put on and tighten and they look nice.

  • "Everything I could ask For"

    , Northville, MI
Pros: Great price, Very warm, waterproof, Grippy Cons: Wrist cuff gauntlet could be slightly longer,

I like the pocket Burton puts in the back of these because it allows for handwarmers to toast up your fingers and keep your hands warm 24/7 without getting sweaty. I'm a guy so I got these in black L and they fit fine.

  • "Good pair of mittens"

    , WILTON, CT
Pros: waterproof, warm, 2nd pair of gloves included Cons: tad too small for a mens medium,

I'm a guy that fits a medium sized glove so I got a size Large in these since they ran out of men's mittens. It fits very tight when I have the inside glove inside the mittens. Fits snug without the inside glove. Overall great build quality and warm.

  • "Good mittens!"

    , SHELTON, CT
Pros: Waterproof, Nice little features, Warm insulation Cons:

These mittens seem to do no wrong. They are waterproof and warm. The inside feels comfortable and soft. They come equipped with goggle wipe (left mitt), wrist tighten straps, sleeve tighteners (you pull on, they cinch), and wrist strings (to let the mittens dangle from your wrists when you take them off so you don't have to hold them). Also looks like they made the thumb a different material on the exterior, if you're into nose wiping. And there is a zipper on the top that opens up an area on top of the mitt. Could be utilized as a vent or a place to put a heater pack if you need it. Overall, well done. My one issue, I bought a medium after reading other reviews saying size up. I usually wear a small and I think I could have gone with one. If you are going to wear the glove liners, maybe then size up one.

  • "Good mitts"

    , Eltham, Vic
Pros: Fit spot on, Goretex , Style Cons:

Picked these up for the wife who gets cold hands and she loves them. Sizing is spot on. Got the black ones which look cool too (important for womens clothing apparently). Goretex lined so should be very waterproof too which is important in Australia where the snow is often quite wet. All in all, a great mitt for the price.

Could be utilized as a vent or a place to put a heater pack if you need it. Overall, well done. My one issue, I bought a medium after reading other reviews saying size up. I usually wear a small and I think I could have gone with one. If you are going to wear the glove liners, maybe then size up one.

    , Eltham, Vic
Pros: Fit spot on, Goretex , Style Cons:

Picked these up for the wife who gets cold hands and she loves them. Sizing is spot on. Got the black ones which look cool too (important for womens clothing apparently). Goretex lined so should be very waterproof too, which is important in Australia where the snow is often quite wet. All in all, a great mitt for the price.

  • "Warm, comfy mittens"

    , Jindabyne, NSW
    Pros: Warm, Waterproof, Comfy Cons:

I'm a guy and purchased the True Black in XL which is a perfect fit for my men's M hand. Super warm and comfy and with the inserts what more could you want in a mitten. Highly recommend these, especially at the sale price.

    , PALO ALTO, CA
Pros: warm, waterproof, liner Cons: At this price, none!, (Could be more durable),

This is a great mitten, warm, dry, and with a easy to use cinch for the over glove. No problems tightening or loosening them, has wrist straps so you don't drop them. Great deal!

  • "Can't tell the difference"

    , SAN DIEGO, CA
Pros: goretex, more fitting than other brand mittens, Cons:

My gf has these and compared to last years version of non-goretex mittens, she can't tell the difference. Maybe it's because she hasn't taken them out in extreme weather, or maybe they are not that old? She does like the print and both are excellent mittens.

  • "Awesome Mittens!!!"

    , Bay Point, CA
Pros: gortex rules, cute, comes with inner gloves Cons:

One of my favorite purchases this season..I LOVE these mittens got them in XS, I have skinny hands so they fit well and still have some room. They kept my hands dry the whole day. I even sat on them, gortex side down, while waiting around and my butt stayed perfectly dry. These mittens have made me never want to ride with gloves ever again.

  • "Not a Bad Mitt"

    , richmond, Vic
Pros: Warmish, Good for dryer conditions, Cons: Not as good in wet conditions, Liner does not wear well,

Compared to the Dakine or Swanny mitts/gloves I found these to be not as warm or as waterproof in rainy/slushy conditions. For spring bluebird they are fine.

  • "Love my mitts!"

    , IRVINE, CA
Pros: Warm, thick, soft Cons: Short cuff,

Oh, how I love these. I used to wear gloves but never again! These are sooo good at keeping your fingers warm and toasty. And I am normally a cold-fingered person. I wear a size 6-7 glove and bought these in a small. They fit just right. Oh, and the black gridline design looks perfect with the Burton AK 2L Summit Womens Jacket 2009 in denim black. ;)

  • "impressive"

    , Blackburn, Melbourne, Vic
Pros: warm, easy to wear, versatile liners, Cons:

Never used mittens before but thought I would try them out. Was really impressed with the mittens, they are much easier to put on than gloves. They are extremely warm especially once you have the liners, and the closures around the wrists are very functional and easy to use. They also easily accommodate wrist guards if you wear them too. Absolutely love the blue liners that come with the black gridline colour. Haven't needed to wash them yet, but I reckon they will be much easier and faster to dry than gloves.

  • "Warm, dry, fits with wrist guards"

    , Manhattan, KS
Pros: Warm and dry , Fits wrist guards, Cons: small cuff = slips between jacket sleeve,

I wore these gloves in 30 degree bluebird days and a -20 windchill day at Loveland in Colorado. These gloves did well on the warm days (no yucky sweating) and the cold day (fingers were never numb and I didn't need to use any handwarmer inserts). These gloves also fit over my wrist brace, fleece and coat - cinched up very nice with no snow getting through. The negative is the cuff isn't very long, meaning that if you don't cinch just right you'll end up with a gap between your jacket sleeve and cinched part of mitten. Maybe you're more proficient of a mitten putter-oner so this may not apply to all. Overall, a great warm mitten.

  • "Wonderful gloves"

    , UNION, NJ
Pros: Included fleece liners, GoreTex!, Cons: Bulkier than expected,

Great prices for GoreTex gloves. Sizing is true doing the knuckle width measurement. Even though the mittens out of the bag looks a bit bulky, it fits just right. One thought is to definitely size up if you're borderline and have long fingers. Included fleece liner is a wonderful bonus (turquoise-ish colored grip liners come with the black gridline mits).

  • "Best Mittens Ever!"

    , Glendenning, NSW
Pros: Very easy to tighten, look good, very warm, Cons: Maybe go up a size if you wear with the glove , liners,

I wasn't sure if I would like mittens at first but for the price I thought I would give these a go, I'm glad I did. They stay a million times dryer than any gloves I have owned. If you are going to wear with glove liners maybe go a size up becuase they can be a bit tight.

  • "Enough room for wrist guards :)"

    , Antibes, PACA
    Pros: warm, spacious, goretex Cons:

I was not sure about the size, I have thin but long hands. I agree with a previous reviewer that recommended sizing up in this case, as the chart is based on hand width. I'm glad I went for a Large instead of an M! Length-wise, both the liners and the mittens fit me perfectly, and the mittens are wide enough to fit my RED wrist guards without feeling bulky. Finally I won't have to fight to fit them in! :)

  • "i like them mittens"

    , CHICAGO, IL
Pros: waterproof goretex lining, liner can be used as pipe glove, cool graphics Cons:

I like these mittens. They are warm and have a liner glove inside (these are turquoise and made of a stretchy material with warm fleece lining and a black animal print grip) which can also be used as a pipe glove. They're overall pretty cool, the graphics with the criss-crossed stripes pattern are nice and there are the other features typical of gloves/mittens made by Burton, i.e. tightening wrist-strap and chamois goggle wipe. They also have Goretex inserts, which is a plus. They've got these random buttons that connect the two mittens together (I've noticed Burton does this in its other gloves too) but the members have told me that this is for display only (I had to ask them because the button on mine broke off before it arrived in the mail).

  • "awesome mitts"

    , ELMHURST, NY
Pros: warm, comes with liners, good price Cons:

I was looking for a new pair of mittens last year and these were perfect. Can't beat the price either. They're very warm and cute! The gridline print mitts come with a turquoise liner too. Major plus. Also has the pocket for handwarmers, couldn't have asked for anything more. Can't wait to use them this season!

  • "Great Mittens!"

    , Elk Grove, CA
Pros: Warm, they have vents, Liner included, goggle wipe, true to size, cushy, rugged Cons: n/a,

Purchased these mittens as a replacement. The mitts include the liners, which are super warm when worn alone. These things are everything I need to keep my hands toasty. Works well for making snowballs, too. The goggle wipe works very well. There are vents on top of the hands in case you get too toasty. You can actually feel air going though them, so they actually function! The ties cinch well enough to keep anything out, even the cold. I got the basic black ones, but they come in other colors/patterns that are stylish. I'm going to pick up another pair. Oh, they fit exactly as they should (slimmer, dainty hands fit best). That's a great thing in any case because who wants gloves that don't fit?!

  • "AMAZING mittens"

    , sydney, NSW
Pros: Fit well, Cool Design, Gore-tex Cons: A little loose without the inner glove,

This is an amazing mitten! I've been through my fair share of gloves & mittens and thought that I would give burton a go considering it was so cheap. I wish I had bought more! They keep your hands toasty warm, have a pocket which lets your hands breathe AND wrist attachments so you don't loose your mitts when you have to take them off. I have tiny hands and long fingers, so it makes finding an appropriate mitten/glove difficult. However, on the advice of one of the reviewers I went for a small instead of an extra-small = bingo! A great fit, a little loose without the liners, but I'm used to having a little bit of space in my glove anyway. If you need/want new mittens, give these ones a go! Absolutely fabulous. I might buy some more...

  • "Heat & warm"

    , FITZGERALD, GA
Pros: Warm insulation, Waterproof, Cons: none,

These mittens seem to do no wrong. They are waterproof and warm. The inside feels comfortable and soft. They come equipped with goggle wipe (left mitt), wrist tighten straps, sleeve tighteners (you pull on, they cinch), and wrist strings (to let the mittens dangle from your wrists when you take them off so you don't have to hold them). Also looks like they made the thumb a different material on the exterior, if you're into nose wiping. And there is a zipper on the top that opens up an area on top of the mitt. • "Toasttty"

    , WINNETKA, CA
Pros: Comes with a second layer of gloves, Good waterproof level, HOT Cons: Wish the colors were brighter,

First off, I'm so happy these came with a second layer of gloves which are like or actually are pipe gloves. The gloves have grip on them on the inside and are a bright sea foamy green which I love. They're so easy to wear underneath and take out so that you can function with them like gloves when messing with your stuff on the slopes. I usually wear a medium in gloves but got these in large after trying them in the store, since I like to wear the gloves on the inside and have some moving room. Definitely a converted mitten wearer!

  • "Excellent!"

    , los angeles, CA
Pros: Easy on, easy off , warm, Cons: could be warmer,

Got these a couple of months ago and tried 'em out the first time this weekend riding in Mammoth in some seriously cold weather with SERIOUS WINDS, and ... they were GREAT! Warm, waterproof, but most of all I loved that they were easy to get on and take off over my wrist guards. I have small hands & bought the large, and they are cute and don't make me look like I have man-hands or giant walrus flippers. LOVE THEM. Can't wait to try them with warmers inside :)

  • "Burton Gore-Tex Mittens"

    , BELLINGHAM, MA
Pros: Very Warm, Keeps Hands Dry, Wrist Cuff keeps snow out Cons: Price,

I bought these mittens for my daughter (aged 10). She absolutely loves them, and although they were a bit more expensive than the kids model, the money was well worth it. She no longer complains of cold/wet hands and by buying the women's model, we hope to get more than a single season out of them.

  • "love these"

    , queens village, NY
    Pros: warm, comfortable, Cons:

Got these not too long ago. They are so warm and comfortable. Can't wait to wear them this winter. It's great that they come with liners. Purchased a medium even though I normally wear small. Perfect fit because I like to wear wrist guards under my glove/mittens.

  • "love these"

    , WORCESTER, MA
Pros: really warm, removable liner, waterproof Cons:

I love these mittens - they work exactly as they should and have everything I'd want in a mitten. They keep my hands really warm even on the coldest days, and I just take out the liner for those warm spring days. Now that they're heavily discounted, I may just pick up an extra pair.

  • "Great Mittens"

    , DENVER, CO
Pros: Removable Liner, Warmer/Stash pocket, Cons:

These gloves are great for super warm days and bitter cold days. Super warm days I just wear the liners. Warm days I just wear the shell and unzip the top pocket as a vent. On colder days I wear the liners and the shell, bitter cold days I throw hand warmers in the top pockets! These are an amazing glove all around. I have them in both under and over so they work with any jacket I wear.
