Key Features of The Burton Elevation Women's Snowboard Jacket:
I have the 2009 Lush jacket in Curacao and I love it. The jacket does fit snug because it is slim fit, so if you are larger in the chest and want to wear layers I would suggest going one size up. The jacket has lots of pockets and because I have the 2009, the jacket and pants can zip up which is great (keeps snow from going down my pants). This jacket is very waterproof. I went snowboarding this past weekend and it was slushy and started raining. I stayed completely dry because the water just beads off
I purchased the jacket for something to wear around town. Very pretty, stylish. However, when it arrived, I was surprised it was way too small. I purchased a medium which I thought would be perfect for my 130-lb., 5' 5" frame. I have very little bust to be concerned about. Length of the jacket was perfect for around town (but too short for a real powder day on mountain use). Chest and shoulders too tight, and arms too short. I was surprised because other Burton jackets sized M are better fit
this jacket looks better in person than on the models above. the jacket looks too boxy on them, but it is actually more tailored and slim fitting. i bought a size s and i am 5'3, 115 lbs and it fits perfect. i've worn this jacket on bright sunny days and on rainy/snowy days and it still is able to keep me dry and comfortable. highly recommended
I wanted a loose fit so I brought this one in M (I am usually size S). It fits great (loose enough but not baggy at all!)! I wear it on my every ride and I also wear it on street! Many of my friends told me it is a very cute jacket! I thought no wrist bend would cause powder/ice coming in but since I am using bigger gloves it doesn't trouble me!
fits really well, nice and slim, with room enough for your underarmour. versatile for boarding and afterwards. very happy. :) only con: for some reason, mine didn't ship with the removable fur hood trim or the matching burton scarf. but they will work on this with u if it happens to u
My daughter was ecstatic!!. #1 to have new burton gear , but #2 I saved a bundle here!!!. First rate quality and I will definitely buy here again!. The burton held up strong as expected so far!. Only had one season of beating so we'll see what happens this season!!?.
Cute jacket. Love the colors inside and out of the jacket. Picture is true to color. I'm usually a size small, but ordered a medium for layering & it was the perfect size for me. I'm 5'0 about 117 lbs.
Using it in the slopes, it was not as warm as I thought it would be for a 20+degrees snowy weather twilight snowboarding for 4hrs. Had to use lots of layers to stay warm. Waterproof was no problem, it kept me dry. Another thing was the hand/arm hole, wish it had some kind of velcro to tighten it. I suggest using really big gloves that would cover the entire arm hole.
Otherwise I'd probably be more likely to use this when it gets a bit warmer.
Nice Jacket with style , but missing a key feature
As some other people also commented on this issue - the sleeves dont have any way to close over the gloves so if you are a beginner that spend some "hands-on" time with the snow you are doomed to get cold hands as the snpw will find its way between your gloves and sleeve . the pockets are a bit small too as you cant really stuuf your gloves\gogles in them (slim fit)
**i got this jacket for my wife (first time on the slopes) as it was a great deal and looked really nice.
other than that its great ! the snow skirt is great
Hi! I'm 5'9, 140 pounds. I normally wear a medium jacket and find that quite roomy (enough to fit a couple of layers underneath - I get cold!). After reading all these reviews I'm not sure whether to get this jacket in a medium or large..? Large seems like it would be huge on me - and I'm concerned about how it would look because the jacket design is tailored.. Can someone pls help me decide?! Thank you!
Best Answer:Hi, April, I'm 5'7, 128 pounds. I also wear medium jackets and find them a bit roomy but i like the fit. Reviews of this lush jacket said it was a bit smaller compared to other Burton jackets. I still bought M and it fits perfect, there is still room for layer underneath but this is a true slim fit jacket for my size. It's an amazingly beautiful jacket and u'll really like it, as for the size (since my M turned out to be a real slim fit one unlike my other M jacket), if u like roomy style for layers underneath u should probably go for size L, that will be smaller than regular Burton L, like my M that is smaller than my other Burton M jacket.
Hi April, I bought this jacket last year for snowboarding trip and absolutely love it. I had some good compliments on it. It kept me warm enough on the slope. I'm 5' fall and about 120lbs. I bought size small and it fits me perfectly with a thermal and a long sleeves underneath. I like it a little roomy for movement. You may fit a medium. Hope this helps.
Thank you everyone! I think ill stick with a medium, knowing that it will be smaller than a regular medium jacket but still a good fit. Thank you everyone for how quickly you replied - it has really helped me!
Looking to this for my 13 yr old daughter. She likes a loose fit for snowboarding, especially through the chest and shoulders. She is 5'5" and growing taller (I'm 6'3"). She has measurements of chest 34, waist 29-30, hip 36-37, and inseam 31-32. Last year we bought a pair of small (she's grown since). They were huge in the waist but too snug in the thighs. I am torn between medium and large for her. She wants the Burton Lush snowboard jacket and the Burton GMp Basis pant. I was thinking large in jacket and maybe med in pants. What do you think? David
Best Answer:I bought the jacket for my sister who is about 5'8". She always wears a size large in tops, jackets and has a 36 chest, so I purchased a large jacket. The jacket has a more snug fit compared to the previous Burton gear I purchased for her. She loves the jacket, but can only wear one thin layer under it (she could not wear a sweater or fleece under the jacket). Hope this helps.
My fiancé is 5'5 and she wears a large, she has alittle bit of an athletic build and it fits her well. And for the pants I would go towards a tighter fit because you don't want them to be falling off of her. That could cause her to wreck and injure herself, which no one wants Jake
Best Answer:Hi Wendy, Usually, to get the perfect match, you would want to buy the same brand of pants and even from the same year. I looked at this Burton Lush Jacket, and it it's colors are surprisingly normal. A true Purple, a dusty Blue, and light yellow. That should give you a number of options. These will work with the Purple: http://www.the-house.com/rd4lew02gdp13zz-ride-snowboard-pants.html (scratches).
