Burton Hostile snowboard jacket
Great jacket. Keeps me warm and dry on the slopes. Really like the "cuffs" and gaitor. The best Burton jacket I have ever owned.

Super warm, but way too long.
This jacket is super warm. I imagine most days wearing this and a baselayer would suffice. Having said that, I had to return it. The cut of this jacket is just way too long. I'm 5'9", about 180 lbs with a fairly athletic build. I wear a size 42R suit jacket. This Hostile Large fit me well through the shoulders, arms, and chest but the bottom hem sat a good 2" below my butt. If you are tall, this jacket would provide a great value. Ultimately I spent more to get the AK Swash jacket. It was a jump up in cost but the fit was 10X better for my frame.

Can you use this jacket in all types of weather from below well below freezing to spring snowboarding days?
Ethan S on Mar 5, 2014
Best Answer: This is an insulated jacket so it's designed to be warm in climates near to below zero. You can wear it for spring snowboarding however I feel like it's going to be too warm and there is a good chance that you would over heat while snowboarding.

It's a great winter/snowboard jacket but if you're looking for a spring snowboard jacket I might recommend shell jacket, something that won't over heat you but will protect you against wind and getting wet.

Hope this helps!
