  • "More Apres Ski, but still great"

    , portland, OR
Pros: Build quality is very solid, Dryride fabric, Nice long sleeves Cons: none to speak of,

The Burton hoodies that I've owned typically have amazing build quality, and this is no exception to that. It's easy to pick up a cruddy $20 Old Navy hoodie, but that will leave you soaking wet and cold with a falling-apart garment a year later. These are built to last, and hold up amazingly well year-after-year. The dryride fabric feels comfortable like cotton, but is able to wick away moisture. It's not great at it, and I wouldn't wear this out on the hill (but you could) but for an around-the-town hoodie, it'll keep you looking stylish and dry, never swampy.

  • "Nice Midweight Layer"

    , South Deerfield, MA
Pros: Not Too Heavy, Wicks Sweat, Cons: Not Very Warm,

I like to wear this hoody as a mid layer and I probably wear it more than any of my other mid layer tops. The fabric is much thinner than your typical hoody, but it's made of their dryride fabric, which wicks sweat so much better than any cotton hoody ever would. It won't keep you as warm as a heavy weight shirt would, but with a good base layer and a sturdy shell to block the wind, I can get through most cold days without ever being cold or sweaty. Even though it's polyester, it feels nice and soft to the touch. I really like having it because I just wear it casually, but it's technical enough to wear on the mountain too. I really can't find another hoody just like it, so I'm thinking about picking up another one. Or two.
