Snowboard and shoes were a Christmas gift to my 12 year old grandson. He went snowboarding with his new board yesterday. Said he had fun, was awesome and ready to go again. Thanked me again for gift. Excitement in his voice told me good purchase.
This is the 2nd pair i have bought for my son - he started snowboard 2 years ago with these, very comfortable and sturdy - after he outgrew the first pair, i got him a larger size in the same style. need to make sure that they are fastened correctly/well, or snow gets in, but otherwise they held up well after 2+ years of moderate use.
Do these boots fit true to size? Wondering if I should go a size bigger to last longer.

Best Answer:The Burton Zipline boots fit true to size. As Burton Zipline Snowboard Boots is a youth size, you have the luxury of factoring in a little bit of growth. My son rocked the size 6 and we got two seasons out of them. However, keep in mind that any slop is bad slop so fill the void with an added insole...for most kids this will be just fine. But if your son or daughter is crushing everyone at local comps or chasing an Olympic Medal the you need them to fit like a glove.
I took my son to a local store and sized them before I got them online. They don't make half sizes for the youth. I got him size 5's. They fit him snug. But not to loose. Try to take to store and find a pair close to what your looking at online this way they fit the same. What I did worked out good. He really likes these boots.
Yes they do fit true to size but I would definitely order a whole size up if you wear snowboarding socks you will be glad you have extra room. They may last into next year as well depending on how fast you grow.
Best Answer:Yes, most smaller bindings will accommodate this boot. My boys run this boot as well and in the past there has been a little bit of play in the bindings...but that's acceptable for the younger riders (in my mind). A women's small binding also works well.
The bindings we bought with the boot did not fit it. Even though it was right size, it ran small. I would get one size up. We had to return and get bindings at a store. We got Ride but can't remember size.
Best Answer:They are not waterproof during late season boarding, but held up extremely well all season. A couple of my kids have these boots, and never complain that their feet are wet. Hope that helps.
how do you loosen the sweet spot laces ? My son tightened them up and they wont loosen to get boots on easily

Best Answer:Pulling up on the red strap should open up the cable snitch, and loosen the cables. Sometimes you need to hold the red plastic sintcher with your other hand, as you're pulling the red strap. Hope that helps
My son got about 30 days in at our resort with no problems. He likes the park as well as steeps and bumps. The boots still look new and we will be selling them at the local swap meet to fund his new ones. Peace
