I really liked my boots. They kept me warm even too warm. My feet were very hot. I also liked the way they looked. The color splash is wicked awsome.
"Comfortable but Cold"
I would like to start off by mentioning that I am an aggressive female rider who spends a lot of time in the backcountry. I am a freak of nature, however and have always required a softer flexing boot, contrary to the theory that more experienced riders need a stiffer setup. The break-in period for these boots was a long and rather uncomfortable process. However, now that they are I find them to be comfortable and have no problem spending a solid 10 or more hours in them- which I do more often than not being a big mountain line hunter who spends time in remote locations. I am impressed with the lace system- which ties down neatly and has thus never come out of place through my days of snowmobiling and even more importantly- walking through deep snow and or climbing steep pitches. Although I am happy with the overall feel and fit of this boot- I am truely disappointed with the Thermic system- which is why I purchased these boots to begin with. I unfortunately have extremely poor circulation, and have previously always crammed foot earners into my setup on colder days. Even while hiking- the Thermic system did not put out enough heat to keep me warm on a -10F day. The fact that you have to ride with the battery packs is also extremely annoying. I ended up giving up on the whole heated liner amenity and still shove heat packs into them on colder days. I do recommend the boot overall- but don't buy it for the heat function- and don't waste an extra 70 bucks on the battery packs to use it.
the best boots to snowboard. So confortable, you can run, walk, and of course snowboard like wearing skate shoes. Easy to wear, fits perfectly with your bindings.
i love these boots! it did take a day or two to break in but after that they do everything i need it to do. recommended for the intermediate level.
These are the comfiest boots. I rode a previous Sapphire for a few years and they were the best ever!! Overall a good boot. If you are looking for a comfy, easy to use boot straight off the bat, the Sapphire are a great choice. You won't have sore feet at the end of the day- love all that padding :) I'll probably buy them again this year. For those of you who shred every day, ski bums and instructors etc: I found these boots, unlike my previous Sapphires, blew out quite a bit by the end of the season. Perhaps half a size. Apparently Burton are making their boots a little softer now due to their EST system (which they say a softer flexing boot can handle well) maybe this is why? Cheers.
"Can't go without them"
Absolutely love them :) Only a beginner but a friend who is an advanced boarder recommended them. Took a while to break them in and a wire pack from the heating console dug into the top of my foot for a while but I wouldn't be without them. They're so much nicer than any other boot I've worn.
Got these boots for the girl. She really likes them. Good overall boot, does everything that you really need. Very stiff initially but was able to work them out in a few sessions.
This boot overall is nice and comfy for a little while, after a session it starts to hurt though. It's a bit stiff and narrow, so if you have wider feet like me, I suggest you get a wider boot
I have always owned ride boots but after using my sister's burton boot I definitely want to buy these. My feet were really warm and they were really comfortable.
Over all pretty satisfied with boot. For the price i would recommend the boot.
"Nice Boots Worth every penny"
Bought these boots for the wife. She literally fell in love with them right away. Comfy, warm, and no more numb toes. She loves it and it has just the right flex. Hardly any heel lift too.
"give it time"
these boots are the bomb. they start out very stiff but once they break in its ultra comfy, warm and responsive. depending on how hard you ride, it may take a day or 3 to break in.
This boot is amazing! I have ridden in it several times and it is the best boot I have boarded with
"Worth breaking in!"
I bought these as my second pair of boots. I needed a stiffer pair than my first and a snugger fit as I am now an intermediate rider. I have narrow feet so heard burton boots were good for this. They did take a few days to break in which was fine since I work in snowboard boots. It was worth the pain! Once broken in they were great and did not require tightening several times a day like my first pair of K2s. I felt that my riding really improved. I havent yet used the boot heaters but i like the feature.
"Soft flex boot"
I bought this boot mainly because all mens models where out of stock. I got the boot quite late in the season when the weather was quite warm. I think the boot has way too soft flex and the fact that the inner boot only has laces half way up does not help. It might be a got starting boot in the mid winter when is really cold because that makes the boot stiffer but in the spring I think it has way too soft flex. A boot should not be comfortable the first day then the flex is going to be gone in a month. I have been riding with Driver and Ion boots for a while and these boots have a long lasting flex and are very supportive.
"Comfy and Supportive"
Boots fit great, I have a wide foot and find that these boots fit around my width. Breaking them in was a tad on the painful side, but they are grand now! Over all a great looking and feeling boot.
I found these boots to be a perfect fit for me. I can't remember the exact size I got, but I'm normally about a size 7-7.5 and these fit great. I normally have a lot of trouble with heel lift, as i've found i have narrow ankles. These boots fit me nice and snug, without cutting off circulation. Also, i normally get really cold feet (and hands), but these boots keep me toasty! I also like the stiffness of the boot, not too soft, but not too stiff.
"very comfortable boot"
When buying boots over the net, it's difficult because you cannot physically test them but these were spot on for my GF (we did however make a sizing mistake, we used her previous Burton boots size and had to order the next size up). The boots are an upgrade for her from Burton Mint boots, the liners are very soft and comfortable compared to the Mint. Breaking these boots in was a sinch.
My shoe size is usually 7 and it felt okay when I tried on boots of size 7. However, the size 7 still has space around my ankle and it didn't feel responsive enough while riding. I upgraded from Burton Mint to Sapphire, mostly because my Mint was size 7. With my new boots, they are very responsive and I never have to tighten them with so much efforts. They are well-shaped with the feet and ankles. The mechanism inside the boots somehow makes other fancy lacing systems pointless (Sapphire only has the very simple lacing mechanism). They are much lighter. I got White/Tan and the color looks wonderful.
I bought these boots at the beginning of the season. Day 1 in these was extremely painful although the boots fit like a glove - breaking them in hurt quit a bit. I couldn't wear snowboard socks in the so I wore some thin summer socks. After a couple days riding these boots they packed out and I could wear my snowboard socks. I've put about 50 days on these boots this season and I can now lift my heel inside the boot, they are very soft now and don't provide the support I expect from my boot. I ride aggressively and I feel like I already need new boots. I would recommend these to someone who does not get many days on snow, or for a beginner, or someone who purely rides park. I still very much like the boots, but wish they hadn't packed out so much and wish they had remained stiffer.
"all over great"
Once these boots are boken in, they are perfect. It took me about 3 good rides. They are very warm and look great!
"does the job"
I actually got the Burton Heated Sapphire Boots, which are boots you can add a portable heater to that warms up your liners. So far, I don't have any problems with the boots but I'm still having to break in the boots so at the narrowest part of my feet, its a bit painful after a session of snowboarding. I'm not sure if its because you have to break in all snowboard boots or perhaps I got shoes a bit small (when I first put them on, they feel fine). But overall, good shoes.
