The Burton Mint Snowboard Boots are perfect for any snowboarder, beginner or expert. EVA cushioning keeps your feet comfortable all day long as you tear down the slopes while the integrated lacing keeps them tight on your feet. The Speed Zone laces are simple and easy to fasten even for a beginner. Rubber ice spikes give you optimal traction no matter what the conditions. Put all of this together and you get the best selling snowboard boot for the past five years.
Good value boot for a beginner. The speed lace system is a breeze for me especially and then my gal (she can lace it quickly by herself without bugging me). Overall they are good boots for a beginner-intermediate.I don't expect them to last more then 2 seasons. Great price as usual.
My girl has used the Burton Mint on 3 snowtrips and she loves them. Before she owned a pair of boots with normal laces before which ment that at the beginning of the day getting in her shoes was always a nightmare. So the lacing system of the mint is the thing what she really likes. Also the boots look good, are of good quality and they do offer her more support (stiffer) than the pair of 'airwalks' she owned before.
I borrowed these boots from a friend just to try them. At first I thought they were going to be great because they´re Burton´s but then while riding I realised that my ankles would move inside the boot and I had to tighten up the speed lacing about ten times during the day. I wish I had tried the 6 or 5.5 instead of 6.5
My gf bought these boots this year on clearance from last year. She bought her normal size, a 9, and they packed out even though she thought they were a little bit originally. She gets cold REALLY easily, but has never complained of cold feet with these boots, so I guess they are doing their main job. She likes the color (white and pink) and they are comfy, but she doesn't like the inner liner and the cords that cinch it up never stay tight. The plastic thing that cinches the cords up to keep the liner tight is a piece of junk. Other than that, she loves the boots, especially for the price, they stay tight on her feet, keep them warm, and look hottttt (obviously the most important thing for girl boarders).
Would ride for hours and my heel would sometimes slip every now and then. I love the fact that they are easy to get into. And as far as the lacing system, it works out well for me. But after a couple runs I would feel the need to loosen them cause they would get a bit uncomfortable. But overall for the price your paying it's not a bad deal!
So I got this boots for my girlfriend and it was more comfy than the one that she previously had. But the lacing system is pretty bad so its hard to get her boots tightened securely above her ankle. I would recommend this to a beginner, but not for anyone over that beginner hump.
I used this boot as my first boot. It was comfortable, but it loosens after a couple runs and the boot packs out. Great boot to start with but I have already moved on.
I suggested my friend to get these boots and an 8.5 is hurting her when she normally wear an 8. They are otherwise comfortable but they pack out fast! They speed lacing system is cool. My friend still likes them, but def don't pay full price for these.
My gf love this boots, keep her really warm, and comfy, and also i dont have to tie her boot lace for her anymore, she can do it on her own, and its only 42 bucks, what more you expect?
Bought these for my lady friend, she wore them a couple of times and said they felt good, but wasn't as comfortable as her Salomon Dawn. So, let another friend use them and she didn't like the lacing system. It kept loosening up on her. But, for the price it's a great buy for a beginner. Use it for a couple or few seasons, then step up to new, better, and more feature = more money boot
I was not sure about the shoes when I first got thems. After the first ride, I think they are great boots for beginners. They kept my feet warm and dry for the whole day. I do feel they are a little too tight for me, but my feet are wider than normal girls. The lace is easy to use, but I would prefer the old fashion ones. Because it is not as tight as the old ones.
I actually find these boots very comfortable. I got the 2009's as a christmas gift this year, and they were a huge upgrade from my old fat division 23 ones. The speed zone lacing system they have is convenient when u dont want to spend too long outside in the cold trying to tie everything up. I'm a shoe size 7 and i am using US size 8.5. The only thing is you have to really pull at the thin laces and fasten around your foot to ensure that your boot is tightened. Otherwise, it's a great boot for the price!
Took these out to Turoa in NZ, pretty comfortable and warm boots but there was a bit of heel lift when I was riding, will test them out with superfeet blue inner sole when I take them with me to Niseko paired with Escapade bindings and update the review.
Wife's first season, had her wear the boots several time to get. She like the comfortable, snug fit and how easy they go on and come off. So far her one complaint has been the liner string. She did not move the string lock from between the tongue and liner and it caused a pressure point. We will have to write more after her first trip to the slope.
They arent so comfortable so get bigger size.
Wow, I am impressed with this boot, I bought them as a cheap boot for my little sister, but you know since were the same size had to try them out. I heard mixed reviews so I was concerned about the lacing system, some people say they cant get them tight. No problem at all here, you just stand up grab the handles pull up and your good to go. They are really comfy too!
Trying to get use to them. By the end of the day my toes hurt but I think its just because I'm not use to them!
I bought these for my girlfriend to take her riding for the first time and she did farely well. She said that the boots were very comfortable and that they kept her feet warm. She also said that they offer good control with the stilletto bindings which I also bought her.
Lacing system could be improved. Burton needs make boots with BOA lacing system. However, these boots are good for the price. Happy with the investment.
I got these for Christmas and really like them. They fit really well. I have narrow feet and they fit like they're suppose to; snug. The traction rocks. IF I had any complaints it would be that they didn't keep my toes very warm on super cold days and that it hurts my fingers when I tug the laces tight. Maybe I'm just a wuss. HA! Anyway, the boots are definately waterproof. I rode down a river of a trail in 60 degree temps...literally through a deep puddle and my feet stayed dry.
