The Burton Jeremy Jones snowboard boot is an excellent snowboard boot. We're talking about a really good bang-for- the-buck snowboard boot. Really there should not be this nice of a snowboard boot at this price point. These things were super hot last year, in their first year. This is continuing the goodness this year.
First off, you've got definitely some skate style going on. Jeremy definitely wanted that with his snowboard boot. Flex on this one with 1 being soft and 10 being stiff, this pup is probably coming in about a 4 or 5. Definitely good for that all-mountain freestyler but still forgiving enough for an entry-level rider to get into it. This is pretty much going to work for 80% of riders out there. It's a very light-weight snowboard boot. You're looking at a synthetic construction. Definitely designed to look like a skate shoe. They have the nice bronze hooks up here giving it some extra bling.
Moving to the outer. You have a 3D molded tongue, as all the Burton boots do. This doesn't bunch or cramp and really gives you good heal hold. Keeps nice up against your shin. One nice thing about snowboard boots at this price range; this is where Burton switches from the laces on the liner to the lace harness on the interior. That's really nice because the ones that have laces on the front; you're securing your foot in the liner and the liner is free to move up and down within the outer part of the snowboard boot. Once you have the lace harness, not only your foot but also the liner is being pulled back into the snowboard boot. Obviously that is going to increase your heal hold. That's a nice selling feature on this one for sure.
Moving to the sole on this one. You have a full rubber sole an EST optimized mid-sole; meaning that your foot is actually sunk a little bit lower that it would be in a lot of other snowboard boots. This is designed to work extremely well with the EST snowboard bindings because you have increased cushioning with that EST. Basically you can thin up the snowboard boot one a little which provides even better snowboard feel than you already had with that EST snowboard binding. Super super modern tech.
The liner in this, the Flex 2 liner, is second-in-command for the park snowboard boots. A very high-end very, lightweight heat moldable liner. It has a Lycra stretch liner in the front so you can wiggle your toes, getting a little more heat to your toe box. It is fully heat moldable. You can take them right out of the box, ride in them, wear them around the house and mold them. If you have a certain pressure point right out of the box, take it down to your local shop and stick them on a heat tower for 15 minutes. That spot should back out. Burton snowboard boots are great for that out-of-the-box fit. The Jeremy Jones has reinforcement right through the heel. It's going to give you really good heel hold. In combination with the Achilles grabbers in the back of the snowboard boot; your heel doesn't move when you're in these snowboard boots. It has a directional nap liner on the bottom. It's going to grab your sock and keep it from sliding up. Adding even more hold but keeping your sock moving. A favorite feature on their new liners is the Velcro tabs instead of the power strap that used to go around. This makes for quicker in-and-out time, but they stay put throughout the day. A lot nicer than that older, cumbersome strap. Good flex in the back, you're not going to get any pressure points on your calves.
The foot bed on this snowboard boot is cush. It's got some shock absorption built into it, too. You use these EST optimized mid-soles to add a little cushioning to the sole. It comes in bright and vibrant colors.
And that is the Burton Jeremy Jones snowboard boot.
THe Burton Jeremy Jones Snowboard Boots are amazing. I have a pair of Burton's that have the footprint reduction technology and it really helps to reduce toe and heel drag! I wouldn't be able to lay down deep carves with out it. BUY!
