I rode some nitro trs teams the last 8-9 year because they_?r the only boots with the flex and stability I want. Now, this session i changed to some white Ions and... sorry Nitro, this fits better I like this boots more then my normal shoes! It fits like a glove the flex and support of the ankle is like a dream and no nore cold feet! the 2 Zonelacing-system works preety well and when they last so long like the nitros did, i know what my next boots are! BLACK IONS!!! not the ceapest but for sure one of the best! ps.: please,Burton, make a sneaker like this bombastic Boots! i woud buy a pai
Great boot if you find it at the right price. Searching over the summer I found my boot at just under $200! I would easily pay more for these though. They fit very spaciously on the inside, and with the est fit making the shell of the boot a size smaller than normal, I don't have to search wide boards only anymore! I've been riding a friends board that isn't a wide and there's no toe bite. They keep my feet warm throughout the whole day of riding so it's not like they are lacking there either. I honestly sat here for five minutes and could not think of a single bad thing to say about these other than they don't have a BOA quick lace system, instead there's Burton's system which I don't like as much
I have the 2011 ions and I am stoked on them. They are stiff and offer plenty of support for bombing but still feel very comfortable riding freestyle. The speed lacing system works great. I wear a size 9 shoe but wear 8.5 in these which is very snug but that is how I like my boots (as tight as possible with NO pressure point). I highly recommend this boot.
I had always ridden a different brand of boot, because i had always found them comfortable and quick and easy to adjust. That was until i tried the Burton Ions, now there's no going back. No more sore ankles while hiking in the back country, these boots are the most comfortable and light boots ever. Insane!!!
Honestly the most comfortable boot that i have ever owned. Starts out stiff and brakes in after about a week or two in to a relatively soft boot that is soft enough for park but has the response for freeriding. Great boot for spending 7 hours a day teaching in, soooooo comfortable
These boots are super comfortable, with virtually no pressure point. This is considered a stiff 8/10 support, but I found it very easy to adjust and loosen the laces to customize the flex level for more freestyle riding. Also, it comes with heel pads to reduce heel lifts, but I found it unnecessary once the inner liners are broken into the shape of your feet. I highly recommend these boots
these boots are fantastic. they do everything you tell them to do. perfect for big turns and powder and can even go into the park. also they look really sick. the best boot i have ever worn and also quite warm.
I demo'd this boot and it's the reason I ended up buying last years model. It was extremely comfortable and was stiff enough for a lot of control on turns but weren't nearly as stiff as the Driver X boots, which seemed more like a ski boot than a snowboard boot
I bought this boot in early November and have been riding it since. I have absolutely no complaints. The flex is just right for the park but is still stiff enough for responsive carves. It is warm, comfortable and looks sleek and minimal. THis boot is quite a tight fit for me but I have really wide feet. Overall a really good boot, highly recommended
I haven't upgraded my boots in a couple years because I could never find a pair that fit me as well as my old Solomons. I tried on a friends IONs and they felt pretty good so when I found a great deal I bought a pair. I've only got one full day on the hill so far, but they were fantastic. The lace system is super easy and fast to tighten just right. I thought they might loosen up but once I set them, but they didn't loosen at all. My feet felt great all day. I notice that I don't need to crank down the bindings nearly as tight because the boots have a perfect fit on top of my foot. I'm really impressed with the boot in every aspect. Yeah, they are pricey but they are definitely top of the line.
I recommend them just as they were recommended to me
The Ion is the most comfortable boot I have ever owned! This is a boot that is more comfortable when it is laced up compared to walking with the laces undone. It's soft on the inside and the padding is the best. Lacing system is failsafe so far and gives great control for fit. I would highly recomend them!!!
I've tried this boot and the sizing is true to size. Although I would recommend going half a size down because it feels like the cushion will pack out really easily. Putting on the boot and taking it off was very easy. They put on nice handles so that you can grab on to it easily giving it a good pull. what i found annoying was the slot where you place the handles after tightening. They were hard to slide in. They have a nice mid flex to the boot and feels quite light. Would recommend you to buy it if you got cash to spend. It would probably be a good investment too because it is quite comfortable. I'd imagine they would continue to be in the long run. -1star because of its price and slot
this might be one of the comfiest boots beside 32s that i have tried. The flex is just right for the park but is still stiff enough for responsive carves. It is warm, comfortable and looks sleek. speed lace system works in seconds but the only thing i am afraid of is it ripping
