"Best heel hold"
The boots have super thick achilles grabber so they are hard to put on but in turn gives the best heel hold. The footbed is paper thin so go buy some aftermarket footbeds.
I am very happy with this boot... for the most part. Just got back from a few days in NC and my feet enjoyed the new boots. I tried on a new pair of the 2010 models at a friends house and it seems like the sizing of the 2009 model is just a bit small. The 10.5 is like 2 cm too short for my big toe, but I assume that the more I wear them - the less of an issue this will be. Other than that... you can't go wrong for the $$$.
nothing bad to say about the hails. i got them on sale and they're a good pair of boots. i only go about 4 or 5 days a year and they're still in nice condition. i love the quick lace system and it makes it easy to get that inner part laced up and then just do a few hooks on the outside and you're good to go!
"Warm, Comfy Boot"
I've been wearing the 09 model of this boot for the past two seasons and it's been great. I was new to boarding last year and took a shot with these while they were on sale. I haven't had any regrets with this boot. They are extremely comfortable and my feet have not gotten cold at all. They feel stiff and secure. I wear a 10 1/2 shoe but the closest size was 11.5. They don't feel big and my foot doesn't move around at all inside. Even though they fit me fine, if they were available in a 10.5 or 11 at the time I would have gone with the smaller size.
"super nice! "
i got these boots after hearing good things, and they were all true. the temperature's gotta get pretty low for your feet to get cold, they're always warm. on top of being warm they're super comfy. pretty much the ultimate boot as far as i can tell. your feet aren't going to come loose either, of course you'll have to tighten them, but they stay really good for a long time. again not for wide feet, average to narrow feet are good.
"COmfortsble and durable"
This is a great boot and no wonder is is rated #1. I normally wear a size 13 shoe, but i got this boot in a 12 because i liked the fit better and the toe box broke in allowing for a little more wiggle room. great boot
"Comfy boot but..."
these boots are a great boot for all mountain use, they keep your feet nice and warm, they are comfy, but like another reviewer commented its not the best for people with wide feet... my right foot is slightly wider than my left and after a full day of riding my pinky toe is a little achy and numb, i have the 09 model and haven't got the chance to test out newer versions small issue but never the less great boot!
"2009 fueron las mejores"
Sin duda las mejores Hail que se hicieron. Con buen cuero y herrajes metalicos. El modelo Andy Wharhol le sumo una grafica exclusiva que no he visto de nuevo. Si las veo me las compro para el 2011
