For parents seeking out a stylish and flexible pair of snow boots, consider the Burton Emerald Smalls snowboard boots. Unlike many snowboarding boots, these are designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. In addition to the look, these boots are insulated to ensure optimal warmth even in the coldest, wettest snow. Do not leave your kids at home when they could be out shredding in the Burton Emerald Smalls Snowboard Boots!
Key Features of The Burton Emerald Smalls Youth Snowboard Boots:
Speed Zone Express (Single Pull Lacing Simplicity)
These boots were great! The speed lacing meant I didn't have to worry about my laces and for the first time ever I could feel my toes not go numb! I could actually move them a bit. I used to wear the Burton Lodi boots in size 6 but found the Burton Emerald Smalls in size 6 fit perfectly. The only thing that was wrong with them is that the boot is a little bit shorter which meant it sometimes cut into my calf a bit. But it beats numb toes anyday!!! The conversion chart is a little off. It was meant to convert to a size 8 womens but didn't fit my sis who is normally a size 7 in womens. Lucky cause they fit me perfectly!!
These are nice, light, well fitting boots but it takes a strong adult to get the laces tight enough to get the boot snugged up on the child's foot. I thought they would break in after a couple of days on snow but my daughter has about a dozen days on them now and they are still a bear to get tightened. I have Burton DriverX boots with a similar lacing system that are super easy to snug up. I think it is the combination of upper and lower lacing on the same pull cord that makes it difficult. I'll go for the Boa system next time so she can put on her own boots. 9 year olds are funny that way.
