What is the difference between EST Bindings versus the normal ones? For example custom EST vs. reg custom bindings?

Thanks
A shopper on Feb 26, 2014
Best Answer: the difference is how they are bound to the board... the regular bindings are bound underneath the foot straight to the board and the EST bindings use the channel lock system and two screws on the side of the bindings. they have alot more flexability in foot position compared to those that are screwed to the board.

So its said 123.95 w/ board, is that with any board you buy at the same time you buy the bindings? or is there another package thats already on the site?
beazz on Sep 25, 2014
Best Answer: Austin,

Sorry about any confusion. These bindings are listed as of 9/29/14 at $132.95. If you purchase any snowboard at the same time, these bindings would be reduced to $122.95! These Burton Custom EST bindings are not currently in a specific ski/binding package. Hope this helps.

will this binding size medium fit "burton custom smalls wide snowboard-kids,Youth 2015 145cm"???

i have messed up many times and i can not mess up anymore!!!

so,please tell me as soon as possible. i do not have much time!!!!!!
A shopper on Nov 23, 2014
Best Answer: That's a really good question.

The 145cm Burton Custom Smalls Wide Snowboard has a much shorter Channel System than that of the men's boards. The Burton Custom EST Snowboard Bindings will not work correctly on the 145cm Burton Custom Smalls Wide Snowboard.

The Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings in size medium (non EST version) will fit on the 145cm Burton Custom Smalls Wide Snowboard. Check them out HERE: http://www.the-house.com/search.html?keywords=Burton%20Custom%20Bindings&refine=y&Gender=Men%27s&Category=Snowboard%20Bindings

Do the Burton "Custom EST" bindings work with the "Ride Agenda" snowboard?
A shopper on Dec 1, 2014
Best Answer: The Burton custom EST bindings ONLY will fit on a board with "the channel" setup, therefore making it not the usual "screw in" bindings that screw into the pre drilled holes in the board. Make sure the board your looking at is a "channel" setup board. Hope this helps !

Are these compatible with the Burton Ration Snowboard?
Trevor P on Oct 5, 2014
Best Answer: I think you want the Customs that are meant to go with the 3D mounting pattern. These are meant to go with the channel. There *might* be instructions to try and convert them or make them work, but you'll get better control using the ones designed to be mounted on your board. Good luck!

Hello, I am looking to purchase this Burton Custom 156: http://www.the-house.com/9848btcus14zz-burton-snowboards.html

Will these bindings work with it? If so, is set up fairly simple?

Also, I wear a size 10.5 in boots. Should I go with a medium or large bindings?

Thanks in advance.
A shopper on Feb 13, 2014
Best Answer: Yes those bindings will work, get large bindings for 10.5 feet..
Free Tip: Head strap light works best when poaching a run at night.

Purchased a Burton Pro Test Snowboard - Boys 2015 136cm from this site. Now I need bindings. Will these bindings in size medium work with that board? Boot size is 9.
Mike B on Dec 2, 2014
Best Answer: They should absolutely work. The EST binding has a two point securing system to the deck. If you take a look at the pictures you will notice a channel system. In that system there are two mobile female securing points that the bindings fit on. The binding you bought for your son is a little different than a traditional binding in that it literally feels like your feet are molded to the board giving it supreme response and agility. If his foot grows fast you may want to purchase a large, but you could always go with a medium and purchase extension straps later. You could have not purchased a better binding!!!! Cheers

Is their a baseplate that you can use instead of the normal one for est bindings that will fit into other snowboards?
A shopper on Sep 13, 2014
Best Answer: It comes with 2 different base plates. I put them on a capita board no problem. Capita like most boards have the 4 hole pattern.
Might want to get Burton boots. They make them fit nicely together . Not necessary though.

What width size board would these be recommended for the Large bindings? I also wear a 13 size boot.
Danny on Feb 13, 2014
Best Answer: Stick as close to a 26cm waist as possible. A size 13 boot will be as good as an emergency break on a narrower board.

What Boots Size should i wear if I am a size 10 in my skate shoes? also What Binding Size do i need. M or L?
A shopper on Jan 12, 2014
Best Answer: It really depends on what boots you have. If you have a slim profiled boot you could ride the size medium Burton Custom EST Snowboard Bindings, but if you have a bulky size 10 you'd be better off getting the size large Burton Custom EST Snowboard Bindings.

will these bindings work on a bullet 164 ?

Best Answer: the est bindings should work on all burton boards if your board does not have the channels that make it easier to install you have to buy the conversion plates for the bottom of the binding so you can screw them to the board

is this binder good for a size 9 mens boots?
A shopper on Dec 18, 2014
Best Answer: Hi,
Burton suggests you would be squarely in the M size binding. You could make an L work, but I would not suggest it. I would recommend you look at other EST bindings (as this size is gone): http://www.the-house.com/est-bindings.html

I ride a 154 forum destroyer will these bindings go good with that board and also I am a 11 1/2 in Nike boots should I go with medium or large?
jakr s on Dec 12, 2014
Best Answer: Jakr,
Be careful here. The Custom EST bindings you are looking at here are designed for Burton's Channel System, and will not be compatible (or a good option) for your Destroyer. There are, however, a few different varieties of the Burton Custom that would work: http://www.the-house.com/bt1curf04bkr15zz-burton-snowboard-bindings.html In any of these bindings... you would be best suited for the L size.

Will custom burton Est bindings LARGE fit my 147 burton blunt board with the channel?? Running out of time. Please help:)
Sebastian on Dec 10, 2014
Best Answer: Sebastian,
To start, obviously these Custom EST bindings will fit any of the newer Channel System boards (2013-). It is, though, close to being too narrow. What size boot do you wear?

i wear a women's snowboard boot size 9 which means that i am around 8 in men's snowboard boot sizes. should i get the small or medium????
A shopper on Oct 24, 2014
Best Answer: I would recommend a men's small for your size, just cause women's boots are usually smaller in overall shape then a men's, so the straps might be a little on the bigger side too. A women's size 9 translates at about a men's 7.5 so small would fit best in my opinion.

i wear size 10 boots, what size of the binding should i choose M or L?
Jay M on Dec 18, 2013
Best Answer: Hi Jay,It really depends on the model of boots that you have. Some boots tend to be big and bulky for their size where as others may be slim.

What boots do you have?

Theoretically a size 10 boot would fit in a medium Burton Custom EST SNowboard Binding.

I'm usually size 8 depending on the boot, if I do have to change it's always down to a size 7. I just got a 151 board and was wondering if I should go with the S, or M binding? Thanks
A shopper on Dec 9, 2013
Best Answer: That's a question that has many variables. Both sizes of the Burton Custom Snowboard Bindings would fit on the 151cm board, but it's rather a matter of your boots. The main question I have would be, what boots are you planning to ride in this season?
