First off, I love this website!!! Now that I have that out of the way, this binding is sooo sick, especially for the price. I was replacing an ancient pair of Burton Freestyles (not surprisingly they were still holding up) because I had heard a lot about the advancements made in bindings since...oh i don't know 2000. Needless to say I went with the custom because it offers all the bells and whistles and is highly affordable, and I was not at all disappointed with the perfomance on the hill.

Can't go wrong with the custom! I've owned 2 pairs now, both have served me very well. I ride them in all conditions and haven't had any feel complaints. However on the 2010 model, the toe cap on mainly my front foot is getting wrecked from carving in crusty powder. Rips it right open after a while. Either way it was still worth it for these bindings! Get sum

I bought these bindings a few months back. Tare fantastic for me but I did notice that after 20 or so days out on the slopes the front binding strap started to fall apart not anything big just little stuff.

at this price the custom is a very decent binding. you get trickle down tech from past models of missions and cartels. Great for shredding the whole mountain from peak to park. the soft/mid flex allows for good control while being able to tweak laterally. for the shredder looking for a solid binding without breaking the bank.

I found these bindings are perfect for my all mountain style, I find them very tough and supportive, for any snowboarder that can go anywhere and doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg for the top class range, you definitely get your moneys worth, with bindings that are better than its price range

I have read a few reviews saying these are stiff. I didn't think so at all. I'm not saying this as a bad thing, even though i do prefer a stiff binding. These a perfect for the mid level rider wanting a binding that rides the whole mountain well. I didnt have a problem with any straps, rachets, highbacks, anything, but I only demo'd them. I rode the white bindings which looked pretty cool on the black burton seven I demo'd with. They were responsive enough to do heelside and toeside 3's with ease, and made ground tricks seem easy as well. Only took about 10-15 minutes to dial them in for the right fit. Easy to use, look good, burton name without breaking the bank.

Rode these bindings for about half a season. They definitely are good looking bindings, got many compliments. I love how you never have to worry about your ratchet coming undone with these bindings. Aesthetically these bindings took wear and use very well.

Burton really failed on this binding. The quality just isn't there. After 4 days the toe strap fell off and i had to buy new hardware for it. Then, my highback snapped and I don't have the money to buy all new bindings so I settled on sending the highback back to Burton. I got my replacement highback about 3 weeks later. The toe straps now are ripped to shreds and I dont even have any toe overhang.

I bought these and set them to my Burton Deuce. It was an easy fit and install. The bindings are pretty stiff in regards to flex. I love the straps and especially the big toe cap. The rachettes are solid and don't sound like cheap plastic when cranking them down. I would buy these again if needing to outfit another board. Good product/low price.

These bindings are great, they have a lot of adjustment and are very easy to tweak. Also have tool-less adjustment on straps. high backs seem a little week but have yet to fail under aggresive riding and jumps. If you can find them for under $150 buy them they are well worth it and the toe caps make a big difference between them and the Burton freestyles.

These are highly rated by many riders, I feel as though they are not as good as the hype claims. They are good bindings, but not great. They fit well around my Burton boots, the white gets dirty quickly. What I don't like, and what I have seen a lot of my Burton gear do this year is the stitching has crapped out A LOT. In less than half a dozen uses, these look like the are at least a year old and seen some crazy aggressive riding.

This binding is great. It's very responsive and absolutely love the feel of them and the adjustability. It's incredibly versatile and the adjustable backing gives it a better feel and control for those that like more lean or not. The only problem I had with one of the previous year's model was that the toe strap attaching the toe-strap to the binding had a weakness due to the flexing and fell off. It's not heavy and is a great all around binding. I recommend it.

These bindings have many options to fit your boot better. Customizing the bindings takes at most 10 minutes to be a great fit. After about 15 uses, the rachets on the toe straps stopped clicking back after you tightened. This has only been a minor inconvenience so far, but it could cause problems. I've used the bindings over the entire mountain, and they've done great from icy park days to deep powder days. Overall they are great bindings, just seemingly low quality

These bindings are ridiculously comfortable. Straps are super soft, and the toe cap works amazing, as long as snow doesn't pack into it. These are great bindings to have fun with, but I would not recommend them for anyone going too big.

i bought these bindings as i just got a new board and i am not dissapointed at all, they deliver at a great price. for mountain carving it stays pretty stiff at high speeds, at the park, it responded well. straps are really comfortable. they even come with 2 slots to lengthen the toe strap at different angles. great bindings!

Cons:
I just recently used these bindings in St. Louis (really small resort) and they handled amazingly. I normally have a hard time with toe turns due to a lack of response from my old bindings (Lamar). With these Burton Customs, not only was I able to nail my toe turns, I was also riding very comfortably. The flex is very forgiving for a rider like me (all-mountain) and I love to just play around on the snow while going down doing small tricks and stuff and this works extremely well.

The burton custom binding works and does the job. Nothing too special but it's a great beginner binding and really cheap. I have the 2010 and the stitching of the burton logo is coming off after a day in the slush. Pretty bad i think.

personally, these bindings were a little soft. I thought they were solid, but I like a stiff aggressive binding. You could go stiffer with the missions or cartels but for the price the Customs are a good option.

This was my first ever bindings for my very first season, except i fell in love with snowboarding so I went like 40times to the mountains and hit the park almost everytime. I hit mostly rails and little bit of jumps about 20-30ft, nothing too fancy. These held up great and there is still life in them, except the screws are coming loose every two runs now. It didn't happen before so anyone looking for affordable bindings, nothing too fancy, these are great.

These are for sure one of the best quality vs price options for burton bindings. I've tried a lot of bindings and this model is pretty nice. I installed these customs on a DC shoes PJB 155 and the response is very good for freestyle and freeride. Great for anyone seeking a more relaxed binding.

This binding is great for boots that are wide and thick. The straps on this binding are insanely comfortable due to there soft puffy leather and the flexibility of its straps. Your feet will never come out of this binding and wont budge a bit. They are easy to get use to and make riding enjoyable.

I rented these the first time I ever went snowboarding and from what I can tell with the binding I have now (haven't used em yet but tried em on) the Burton Customs are MUCH more flexible. As an intermediate user (transfering from green to blue) I can personally say that I like these more than the $70 bindings I have now (don't EVER buy Lamar bindings). I plan on buying these in the near future as the bindings I have now are very uncomfortable.
As a new rider it made me feel very safe and was a good transition for me, as a person, to snowboarding. I deeply admire these bindings and plan on using them for the upcoming season.

From my opinion from using this binding for a bit, i think that it is really soft, as the description says, and the fit feels really nice, but for me, it was TOO soft, and seemed weak, like it could break.

The Burton Custom 2010 would be great for Beginners. For Intermediate I would spend a bit more cash and get something better. I'm a little dissapointed in the fact that I need to cranck the straps up alot during the day. Sometimes I even stop half way through a long run and crank em up again.

I recommend these bindings over other low range bindings such as the burton freestyle because they do seem tighter and less flimsy than most bindings less than 150 dollars. I read the other reviews and saw that some people are stating that these bindings are too stiff, I do not agree with this. I think they are pretty soft, but that is common for the price.

these are pretty good bindings for the money. I got them as a first pair of bindings and they lasted me a good 3 seasons. they were a little soft for shredding around all mountain but were great for the park. for the money though i think the union flites work better, but these aren't a bad choice

I got this as my first binding and I have to tell ya; for the money they were more than I expected. They are soft enough that not every movement is transferred to the board good when you're a newb so you can have not-so-good balance at first and it still won't catch you up as fast. The bindings are very light plastic but I got 2 seasons out of them and they're still in the bottom of my gear closet almost as good as new. The straps do catch a bit, but that's not to the point of really being a problem. If you're new to riding and want something that you can still use down the road I would skip the bottom base models and take a tiny step up to this. You won't regret it at all, I promise.
