Description
Bern Watts Eps Snowboard Helmet Matte Black/Black Knit
The successor to Bern's original visor lid (the Baker - patent # US D572, 865 S), the Bern Watts EPS Snowboard helmet combines a visor with top and back vents to provide a balance of airflow and style. Sun, rain and snow - you name it - the Watts defends against it. "From Alaska to sunny training days at Hood, the Watts works in all situations." - Rob Kingwill.

"Looks good, but not worth the money..."
Pros: Looks good, Knit ear flaps, Cons: Not durable, Lining velcro,Looking at the rest of these reviews, I am wondering if I just got a defective helmet. But, the second day that I ever wore my helmet, the goggle clip in the back broke off. Also, the knit ear flaps that attach into the helmet are only held up by velcro and 2 snaps. The snaps on mine were too loose to do any good, and the velcro is plastic and only stuck for about a month. So, all year I was riding around with the liner falling down over my eyes and the velcro scratching my forehead. I ended up just keeping it attached with duct tape! (which ended up getting stuck in my hair...)Anyways, I loved the look of this helmet but I couldn't justify using it for another year because it was miserable to deal with.

"Bern Watts helmet EPS"
Pros: highly protective, safe, lightweight Cons: none,This helmet is much more attractive and covers my head. The little brim is also helpful in keeping the sun out of my eyes. The flat white paint has a rubber texture which is really neat. It is not shiny at all.

"Great Helmet"
Pros: Low Profile, Style, Vents Cons:The Baker is a good helmet cept i always overheated in it. Enter the Watts, which is basically a baker with full time vents. Huge difference now when I'm on the hill. The Watts is low profile enough to wear under your hood without making you look like an alien. Distinctive Bern styling keeps you looking good while protecting your head from the gnarliest of slams. I also like that you can switch out liners simple and easy with button snaps instead of velcro like other helmets.

"Fits for its Purpose"
Pros: Adjustable Strap, Visor, Ear Warmers Cons: A little expensive,Saw a kid cut my friend and her helmet helped her from having a massive spill. I purchased this helmet that afternoon because you can't control other riders and accidents can happen. Took a nasty spill and the helmet held up great. The visor over your goggles help prevent outside elements attacking your forehead which is good too. Definitely recommend when on a mountain with plenty of ice sheets.

"Good helmet"
Pros: comfortable, Cons:Im not a person who wears the helmet often. But I do whenever it is icy or when I jib and it serves its purpose. The ear warmers are excellent function.
