been using this and my smith maze on and off and this is quite comfortable. it has a very solid feeling but isnt packed out with a ton of the head foam. for cold days this is all i wear on my head and it actual keeps me super warm.
This is a great helmet for the price! I have a baker for really cold days and this helmet for the warmer days. This helmet fits well, is comfertable, and most importatly protect your head well.
Over all a great helmet that I would reccomend to anybody.
Good quality helmet. Its comfortable and doesnt look as goofy as most. the lining is removable which is nice and convenient. A great buy
I am a new snowboarder and I am looking for a helmet. This helmet not only looks great, but it is reasonably priced which makes it an even greater buy. The styling on this helmet looks great with the styling from the company. I will probably buy this item in the next week!
very decent helmet for the price. Full time vents; comfortable; lightweight; very versatile with removable liners making it a 4 season helmet as well as the option to add audio. I've taken a few hard knocks wearing this helmet and didn't feel a thing, neither did they effect the integrity of the helmet so i can vouch that the macon is very functional and durable besides being stylish.
The Bern Macon is a relatively cheap Bern melon protector and still has all the styles of the better helmets. It's form fitting to the head and doesn't look goofy. This is the new EPS helmet as opposed to the brock in earlier versions, much better protection for snowboarding. I like the ear warming snapin.
I have the Bern Macon in matte gray and I think it fits great and looks good. It also definitely increases my confidence, because I know I can push limits without worrying about head injuries as much. Another thing that is great about this helmet is that I can use it for skateboarding too, just by taking out the liner. I would recommend this helmet to people who don't want to spend as much, but still want a great helmet.
got these just like literally a few days ago. managed to get only 1 day in so far, but preformed great for me. l didnt need to wear a beanie underneath for warmth as the liner was good enough. its quite easy to remove the liner if it gets too hot as it sticks on the inside. I got it for like 40ish so it was a really good deal imo. however due to the material of the liner, it sort of eats my hair. so when l remove the helmet l realyl have to be careful that l dont pull out my hair. Overal great helmet, if you want something warmer, get one without holes on the top but its good enough for me.
I got this helmet for a gift and it was my size. but it seemed a little small and squeezed my head. beside the tightness it was comfertable. it has a great price and looks pretty good but it just a basic helmet. the liner also got messed up in mine and took me a little to get back. after not liking how it fit after a while i bought a Smith Holt and gave this to my brother. he likes it but i like my holt a lot better.
I recently purchased the Bern Macon and could not be happier with it. It's quite stylish and at the price point I would reccommend this helmet to anyone. It's relatively inexpensive and the foam padding isn't too thick. It doesn't have the zipmold like the Brentwood, but the padding isn't too thick. It does come with ear warmers which work great. Another plus of this helmet is Bern's available accessories for the helmet. Check out the hunters knit. All in all, an excellent helmet that I would recommend to anyone.
Great comfy helmet. Has removable ear pads, warmers. Plenty warm on a cold day and adaptable for a warm day. Has gogggle strap in the back and looks good with goggles. Only bad part is that these things absorb other colors easy and thus stain easy, so it gets dirty quick.
l got this over at altrec because they had the size l needed and not here (xl). To begin this is a eps helmet meaning that its meant for multiple hits and not a single one then its done. at least thats what l read when l was comparing helmets. This is one of the cheaper helmets l found on the market with a simple design and no over the top graphics at all. l found however after l purchased that the shape is not circular/oval completely, but has a ridge on the helemt that makes it oval then flat. hard to explain but l was expecting circular shaped. Then when l got the helmet, it came with a summer liner instead of winter, not the helmet problem l suppose but was a problem for me since it doens't cover the ear. because l lived in canada, bern was being douche and woulnd't send me a replacement part and all so l had to live with the knit liner which even though claimed to be just black was actually a checkered style. Very warm liner though that at times l was sweating. The helmet itself was great buy, but bern and altrec customer service failed for me. Since it isnt the helmet itself, l still give it a pretty good rating
