"TR" stands for Tour & Race, and that is exactly what the 12'6" TR is designed to do. The 12'6" TR offers the type of blistering flat water speed and efficiency which will draw plenty of attention in the popular 12'6" racing class. Yet, unlike many specialized race boards, the 12'6" TR is comfortable, stable and eminently well-mannered. Each of these attributes help to make this board the ideal platform for touring as well. With its fine entry and pronounced V-shape, the nose cuts easily through chop for a smooth, fast ride. Vertical rails and a flat bottom offer clean water release and stability. Epoxy AST construction provides the best balance of light weight, stiffness and outstanding durability.
This is the board that really pushed the "Tour/Race" category off the charts. When the racers felt the board was too stable, then we knew we had a winner. It gains this stability with a flat bottom that takes the full 29 _ inch width all the way out to the vertical rails, so you dont get any rolling action in rough water. With a fine entry and pronounced V-shape, the nose cuts easily through chop for a smooth fast ride. The wide, thick tail is a plus downwind, as it picks up surface bumps and planes off early. Fits paddlers from 150 to 300 pounds.
