Jazz hands. So what I'm going to be talking to you guys about today is the
Arbor A-Frame snowboard; super, super cool snowboard here, definitely looking at one of their higher end constructions. Obviously on the cosmetic side of things, this snowboard's crushing it. You got a bunch of really cool hardwoods laid in on each other; it's not just for looks on the Arbor snowboards though, it is part of the structure of the snowboard. This is going to be infused with the top layer of fiberglass; it's definitely going to add a little bit more pop and help reduce the weight of the snowboard.
As with most of the
Arbors, you'll have a blended urethane sidewall, it's going to be really, really durable but also hold a really good edge. It's kind of the best of both worlds with the urethane and the AVS pairing up on that one. From there you got a pretty aggressive, progressive sidecut on this one. It's going to be a very responsive carving snowboard. You're going to see really easy turn initiation but then a really powerful turning snowboard going through the arc.
Features a shaman core, which is definitely one of their nicer cores. Its going to be very lightweight, very snappy, and as always with any of the
Arbor stuff, a sustainable core too; a very green company. It does have a lot of carbon added into it, this is going to help reduce the overall weight and increase the pop of the snowboard. Flex-wise on this bad boy, I'm giving it on a 1 to 10 scale about a 6.5 to 7. Definitely a higher end flex, not quite what you'd be looking for for just rails or boxes, but if you're riding everything else in the mountain with speed, powder, uneven terrain, stuff like that, this snowboard's definitely going to crush it.
Die cut, sintered base on this one, it's going to absorb a lot of wax and only get faster throughout its life as you wax it. On top of it, you got a two year warranty. Arbor backs up their stuff with one more year than most of the other companies out there; really have good quality control over there and they know they can back it. I hardly ever see these snowboards come back on warranty.
Arbor A-Frame snowboard- good stuff.
