Description: Burton Barracuda Snowboard

The Burton Barracuda is one feisty fish stick. This directional board features S-Rocker technology which lets you easily float on top the powder at higher speeds. The Nug Raduction allows you to downsize up to 10 cm from your normal board length to make it easier to maneuver. Burton has also given this board a Directional Flex to increase pop in the tail while keeping stability in the nose for more control. It's not necessarily powder-specific nor is it purely freestyle, this board is an open door to all types of terrain, especially the unknown.

Matt GStaff: You made a great choice picking the Burton Barracuda Snowboard! You'll be able to mount Burton Custom Bindings on this board if they are the EST version or if they have the Re:Flex Channel discs.

If you don't have the Re:Flex Channel discs don't worry, check out the Burton Retro Discs to make the conversion work >> http://www.the-house.com/bt1retdbk10zz-burton-retro-disc.html

Matthew R: I think so. Might depend on what year ur customs are. You may only need a transition kit. The house won't let me include a link in my reply but there's a portion of Burton's customer service site that has a user friendly guide to help you figure out if your bindings are compatible. Chris S: You need to use Burton rail, or whatever they call their, proprietary binding system that uses 2 bolts in a slot instead of standard 4 bolt plates. Aug 13, 2013

Igor B: Yes, for sure.

You could use the new type of Burton bindings (EST) as well as the old ones.

A shopper asked: What burton bindings do u recommend? Jul 18, 2013

Matt GStaff: First off, awesome choice! The Burton Barracuda Snowboard is one of those snowboards that was built just right, there is honestly something special about that deck. You'll need bindings that are equal to the Barracuda's greatness, and they are the Burton Cartel EST Bindings.

Check out the Cartel's here >> http://search.the-house.com/?keywords=BUrton+Cartel+EST

Chris B: I've got the Burton Cartels, and they ride perfectly with the Barracuda. I have a 163 and it's a beast in the powder. A little too soft for my preference if the snow isn't fresh and deep, but if there's powder, it's the best board I could choose.

Jonathan C: This is what I use. Purchased at the same time as by Burton Barracuda board.

Burton Mission EST Snowboard Bindings Black - I am very happy with both.

A shopper asked: im 200 lbs and 6 foot do i go with the 161 or 165? Aug 24, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Chris B: I'm 6'3" and 225. I ride the 161 and it's perfect. The board rides longer than the numerical size by a few cm's. Never had any issue, but I only ride it in pow. It's a little too soft for my preferences on groomers. Favorite powder board I've ever ridden. Sep 9, 2013

Matthew R: I'm 6 foot also and weigh about 205 lbs. I rode the 161 all last winter throughout Canada and the north eastern US. Loved the161 length; very maneuverable. I'm in love with the board overall. Rode it in all sorts of conditions and the board glided over everything and never caught an edge. Sep 9, 2013

Mike B: 165. You're buying it to be a floaty powder board. With the bigger board you can keep a more neutral stance (front to back) on the board rather than having to stance too far back. Sep 9, 2013

Christine S: I bought the 161 for my son. He is 6'3" and about 210lbs. He is an advanced intermediate boarder and he says the board works very well for him. Sep 9, 2013

Brendan W: This board does it all. Glides through powder like butter. Also for rails jumps and other tricks. I am a large guy & I love this board. Sep 9, 2013

Jason asked: I'm 5'9 180lbs and can't figure out which size I should buy for this board. Will 149 or 157 be good? I'd prefer something in between! Oct 24, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Matt GStaff: Hey Jason,

It looks like you fit within the weight ranges of the 153cm and 169cm Burton Barracuda Snowboard. If I was you'd ride the 157cm because you fit in the middle of that size weight range.
