Description: DC Mega Snowboard

The DC Mega Snowboard may get some jealous glances for its graphics, but the real stardom will come from what this sweet board can pull off. Meant for freestyle and all-mountain usage, this item is extremely flexible and meant to be nothing less than fun at all times. The Stratus Core, made of poplar, has plenty of strength but is still very forgiving, which combines with Flexalite Tips to really make this board special. Overall, the Mega is a great choice for all types of riders, as long as they want to get great performance out of their equipment.

Key Features of DC Mega Snowboard:
  • Flex: 7.5
  • Maneuverability: 7
  • Camber: 5
  • Fresh Deck Top Sheet: our new Fresh deck topsheets give DC boards that poppy feel you get from a new skate deck. the topsheets add a snap and life to the boards that you can only get out of natural wood. they may look pretty but these topsheet laminates are pure performance, with several seasons of testing behind us to prove it. the graphics are screened on the wood just like a skate deck, and the wood is then sealed to protect it from the elements, still keeping its natural feel.
  • Lock & Load
  • Stratus Core: Poplar, Pop=6, Light feel
  • FlexaliteTip
  • Radius 2 Flat: after receiving rave reviews and awards Radius to Flat has earned its spot on every board in our line. the flat surfaces at the tip and tail of the board provide lift in powder to keep you floating in the deepest snow, while the radius blends in perfectly with the sidecut to create effortless transitions from edge to edge.
  • 7200 Sintered Base
  • 64.20 Biax
  • Structurn Base: the structurn base structure is scientifically proven to be a faster base in all conditions. Just like the dimples of a golf ball break tension and make it fly farther, these small dimples in our base break water tension and allow your board to glide faster, turn easier and allow you to ride longer.

Perfect park board. It's fast, responsive, and feels like you've been riding it your whole life. There is no need to adjust to the new board

I weighed the options of the dc mega and the dc pbj and the mega is the same board just a little stiffer (plus it has a better top sheet).

DC PLY or Mega? i ride mostly park but sometimes hit powder. been snowboarding 6 years
Rory N on Dec 22, 2013
Best Answer: I've been riding the Mega and at first was sooo flexy that I kept washing out. By day two on this board though I was grinning ear to ear. Definitely works everywhere on the hill and is the most maneuverable board i've ever been on. Been practicing manuals and they have been looking butter! I weigh 240 at a height of 6 feet so doing manuals and throwing big air is a little more difficult for me, but not on this board.

is it easy to preform tricks with this board?
A shopper on Dec 27, 2015
Best Answer: That depends on what you deem easy, it has great pop, and is still flexible enough to easily butter, but if you're used to a really noodly board then it will feel very different.

With the dimple on the bottom of this board, how does this affect waxing? Haven't seen it, but am judging from the description.
BradB on Nov 20, 2015
Best Answer: Haven't waxed yet, but if you use liquid wax it shouldn't be a problem. I think if you used regular wax it would probably come out of the dimples the first time you rode it the dimples aren't that deep and spaced pretty far apart. And not that deep either.

Hey I'm 5'8 145-150lbs. Size 10 boot. Which size would be recommended the 153.75 or 156.5? Also, is this deck alright on rails? Not my primary concern, but I do like to play on them when I get the chance. Local hill is in Indiana where I ride more rails, but yearly trips out west to CO make me want a better powder/all mountain ride. Does this sound like a board for me? Thanks in advance!
A shopper on Nov 22, 2015
Best Answer: The 156.5cm DC Meda Snowboard would be the best size for your weight. The Mega is one of the best freestyle boards around, it's rips on rails and jumps with tons of pop! It's a great pick!

i weigh 170 can I ride a board that's 158cm instead of 162cm. is it more about preference then the weight?
zookthekook on Jan 31, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Zach,

A board's length is greatly determined by the rider's weight. If you're looking in to the DC Mega Snowboard, your weight fits best in the weight range of the 159.25cm size.

will the snowboard boots with the size 12 fit the dc mega?
A shopper on Dec 20, 2013
Best Answer: The 159.25cm DC Mega Snowboard's waist wdith would work best with a size 12 boot.

Usually I suggest wide boards (25.8 waist width) to people with size 11+ boots. Check out the DC Tone Wide Snowboard out HERE:
