Carve up that fresh powder with a Palmer Saga R Snowboard. This board is built 100% for handling those tricky curves with its reverse camber. This makes the snowboard much easier to turn and allows you to carry even more speed down your favorite runs. The lightweight poplar woodcore adds in the Palmer Saga R Snowboard''s agility while still maintaining durability. The centered stance inserts ensure you get the perfect balance for your runs down the twisties.
My first reverse camber board, and it is just brilliant ! Have previously had a Rome Solution which is a great board, but I just cannot get over this Saga. I really have to totally screw up to catch an edge on this thing, and it is sooooo slippy. With the 70% discount, plus other loyalty bonuses, I only paid $110, so even with import tax and transport, I have paid about 130 quid for a board that retails at 400 quid. Thank you so much, you guys are the absolute best
Finally got to get this deck on the snow in Utah. Sampled a little bit of everything; groomers, ice, tree runs and powder bowls. The Saga handled it all. I went with a centered stance and still cruised powder with minimal weight on my back leg. I sized up to the 158 so it was definitely stiffer than the 154 which made carves pretty stable, but made butters a little more difficult even with the rocker. Do yourself a favor and file down the edge of the top sheet; this thing collects gaper gashes like crazy
This is my First Board but am very pleased with the Quality. I was a bit hessitant that being a 158 with a size 13 boot i may have too much Toe Overhang but paired with Flow the Five bindings it is a perfect fit. nice feel and Awesome Graphics.. Sure to stand out on the mountain this year
I recently purchased this board at an amazing price -- and was able to bust it out for the last week of crazy april powder...
It was outstanding! In the pow it was a breeze - the rocker got me out of a few jams where my carbon circle would have left me digging my way out; the turns in the pow were effortless with the light weight and shorter length (that sacrifices nothing in float); i expected that of the design - but it was on the groomers and the hard stuff where it really impressed me -- i am an 8-year big mountain rider, following the skiers (much to their chagrin), and the saga handled everything i threw at it. It was so smooth on the groomers, i really felt confident that i would not catch an edge (if you relax too much with the c-circle on the flats, you will go down hard). I didnt check park because i dont ride the park.
I would say the only potential advantage the carbon circle might have would be handling high-speed chatter and holding the tightest of edges (as stated - sometimes tighter than you need).
Perhaps it was just the three greatest april days of my life that swayed me - but i am really high on my new Palmer Saga-R. Rocker baby
After all the hype on the rocker style boards I have finally had my 1st experience after purchasing the Saga and I have to say its the $#!+ It has made a major diff in the way I ride and I am hooked. Its a gr8 board handlz effn awesome and .... nuff sed im sure u get it.
I bought this board for a mate of mine that is just starting to get into snowboarding. Of course I had to give it a demo myself and found it to be a good all-round board. It's pretty much in the not too stiff / not too flexible category so you can pretty much ride it anywhere. The only draw back is the graphic is pretty intense - best quote from it well at least if you throw-up on it no-one will notice.
This is my first ever snowboard, the second I saw the graphics I was sold on it! I'm still a beginner but the rocker board works well for what it is, I hope that next season I can start learning more. No regrets on this board
this board is a good beginner to intermediate board, my friend owns this so i got to demo it for quite a few runs. it is a pretty awesome board with i think a little to much flex. this is a great first board!! it is a great all mountain board, probably better for more non parkish stuff like off trail ungroomed. hopefully this helped some.
Great board, it was a bit stiffer than i expected which was a good thing making it perfect for all mountain riding. fun boar for playing around, doesnt catch edges as easily as regular camber boards. not as easy to butter as many other softer rocker boards, but better for all mountain riding. then again the stiffer camber boards carve better and gives better feedback. all in all a great board for the all mountain rider who likes to play around
