Brittany M asked: What is the effective edge length on flagship 158? I see the 'contact length" and wonder if that is not exactly what I what to know. When you are buckled in and riding, what is the contact length of edge? I am just starting to check out rocker boards so not sure how this influences how long the board rides. I have been riding Never Summer 154-6 for years, but hear all about the rocker boards.
Can I go a little longer? But I also ride a ski area that is quite bumped and amazing tree runs, so do not want to have a board too long.

Matt GStaff: The Effective Edge (Contact Length) of the 158cm Jones Flagship Snowboard is 114cm. When I stand on the board the running contact length is 83.82cm. Rocker boards, because of their shorter contact length will feel like they are shorter in overall length.

The length of a board is greatly determined by the rider's weight. How much do you weigh?

A shopper asked: Hi there,

just wondering on what size would be more appropriate for me. i have checked the sizing chart but was concerned on the length it recommends. im 174cm and my weight yoyo's between 78-82kg. i normally ride a 154 board but they have always been reverse camber or hybrid. i have tested camber boards and have ridden up to 158. for this specific board would the 158 be suited for me or would something longer be more appropriate? never ridden anything longer than 158 and abit worried its too long.

Cheers

Josh E asked: So I've pretty much decided on this board based on my riding style (fast carving on groomers but I prefer powder and off-piste whenever I can find it) and reviews. I'm 5'6", 140-145 lbs, been riding for about 13 years, and I'm quite strong for my weight.

I'm really torn between the 154 and 158 based on reviews and every sizing chart I can find. My main concern with the 158 is maneuverability in tight chutes/trees. Which size do you think would be best for me? Thanks!
