Staff Review

Dave here at the house, definitely one of the sicker twins I got in the shop here.
We're looking at the Flow Era snowboard, obviously were going to start it off with the awesome iron maiden-like graphics. Super, super cool snowboard. This one is going to be rocking some reverse camber, some rocker to it. It's the rocker that I like too; the one where you stand on it and it goes completely flat. The benefit here to these kind of rockers is that your going to have full edge contact, full base contact when your 50-50ing on rails or if your at an icy hard packed sub flat base. You've got full contact, ready to rock.
From there they blend the side cut really nice on this one. It makes it less hooky than the some of the other kinked up rocker patterns can be. Just a really, really light weight high performance twin this thing is going to absolutely crush it anywhere on the mountain but definitely is going to be best suited for a free style rider, and a high end one at that.
From there side wall construction; now your going to see this on pretty much every snowboard out nowadays you have to have it to make snowboards durable and to give you better edge grip. Based on this one is their Optics 2000. It's basically an extruded base, but it actually does hold quite a bit of wax; doesn't require waxing quiet as much thought. Really kinda the best of both worlds in that one. You're looking at their Whiskey Royale construction on this one. They've got impact plates right below the snowboard bindings to protect the insert patterns and to take up the shock of that area that gets it a lot when your jumping.
From there it moves into a bi-axial glass. The snowboard is going to be torsionally forgiving. It's going to be softer flexing, not super soft though. One to ten scale I'm rocking this one probably about oh 3.5 or 4. Definitely can handle any kind of free style terrain.
Just a really, really versatile super fun well balance playful snowboard. Flow Era snowboard. Yeah, Iron Maiden.

  • "Great park board"

    , New York, NY
Pros: bang for your buck, tech, pop Cons:

Used this board on my trip to HCSC and was pleasantly surprised that I liked it so much. It was pretty darn good at everything... rails, jumps, presses, pipe, the era was super solid. The pop on this board is amazing and it gave me more confidence to hit bigger jumps, it stomps landings like nothing. The era is def not a noodle but it presses and butters pretty easily. If you spend the majority of the time in the park hitting all the features, you'll like this board.

  • "good board"

    , HIGH POINT, NC
Pros: Flexy, Holds an edge, good pop Cons: top sheet dents easily,

I rode this board for about a half season. I enjoyed it because it really held a good edge and had great pop. Its a shame that the top sheet on this board chips extremely easy because of the glossy top sheet. Never had a problem cruising this board at high speeds.

  • "Sweet board!"

    , RIVERSIDE, CA
Pros: Flexie, Awesome v rocker, Very light Cons:

I love this board! So fun to mess around with cause it's hard to catch edge so u don't fall much! Nice and buttery handles so well! Def a great park jib board!!

  • "Absolutely SICK board!!!"

    , RAHWAY, NJ
Pros: Great in park, very forgiving, pops nicely, can ride it anywhere Cons: could be a little more flexible, Graphics kinda childish,

I own 2010 Era and demoed this new one just couple of days ago. Era was the first reverse camber board that i had ever ridden and it is absolutely fantastic! It's not just for park, you can take it anywhere on the mountain and it'll be still stable, even on the icy patches! I'd recommend this board even for a beginner, because riding on this thing makes snowboarding much much easier. The only con for me - graphics on a '11 board are kinda childish, but oh well, that's just me :)
