Staff Review
To the men's snowboards now. We'll start out with the Park category. So with this, we're looking at snowboards that, you know, you're not limiting yourself to park riding, but they definitely cater to and excel in the park arena.
First off we've got the Burton Dominant snowboard. You know, really this snowboard is designed for Midwest riding. It's got a pretty square shape with a mellow side cut. It's really predictable, stable and easy to ride. This is the first level we introduced the Park Fly Core at. It's a little more beefy between your feet; but reduced swing weight between the tip and the tail.
A couple of new things this year: it does come with the park edge, so again, a thicker metal edge to help withstand impacts of handrails, or boxes, or any sort of abuse you can throw at it. It comes with Lightspeed Vision base, kind of like a skateboard looking graphic. It's pretty rad, like old-school kind of trashed base; and then grip tape top sheet. Stickers will hold on this too, it's pretty rat.
It's a Directional Twin. Comes with centered stance and Directional Flex, but a twin shape. It's more of a mid-wide. This is a snowboard you'd want to ride a little bit shorter than your traditional snowboards. So if you typically ride a 156, I'd say step down to a 154 in the Dominant. It's super playful, fun, and easy to ride. So that's the Burton Dominant snowboard. You can't go wrong with this piece.
