Staff Review
Dave here at the House talking about a new brand for us but a brand that many of you known for a couple of years now;
Stepchild snowboards. It's a really cool, ride their own company. Definitely throw in your money to a good spot when you’re purchasing one of these snowboards. What you got is the
Stepchild Everything Sucks snowboard model, it used to be called Powder Sucks. Thought that might be a little mean to some people on the snowboard industry and the fact that we all like powder eventually at one point in our lives, changed up the name a little bit.
What you’re looking in the Stepchild Everything Sucks snowboard, true twin, all terrain, free-style madness for sure. Pretty good price point on this one, you’ll gonna have completely symmetrical flex inserts sidecut. It does have pretty, nice glossy top sheet with some metal flecks thrown into it. They also have what’s called their Armadillo plate which is an extra layer of fiber glass right underneath the inserts. Basically that’s gonna protect against blow-outs. It’s gonna give the snowboard a little better shock absorption, a little bit better durability.
You roll into a nice slant wall construction. It’s gonna be really good hold or edge hold on icy-hard packed terrain. It’s gonna hold up some rail damage pretty well. From there, we got a nice extruded base, really easy to take care of, easy to repair if you get in a nick from rail or a rock or from the ring and then less waxing of course too which is something if you’re buying the Powder Sucks, it’s a prize you’ll looking out to do less. Seeing great, great ride their own company, middle of the road for flex. 1 being soft 10 being stiff at a 5. So it really does crash it anywhere on the mountain.
Like I said, new company for but been on for a few years. Super, super cool. The
Stepchild Everything Sucks snowboard.
Description
Stepchild Everything Sucks Snowboard Black/Blue 155
There are a lot of things in snowboarding that suck. To name a few: road trip farts, blown knees, guys that wear nail polish corporations claiming to be "core", the word "core", industry bitches, green washing, rain, ski resort marketing, and another company in snowboarding that use the whole powder suck theme. If you look closely on this board you will find many more things that suck so try not to read it when you are riding or you'll hit a tree - hopefully you'll just hit a stupid team manager. The true twin shaping with the Kicker I core makes this one of the easiest boards to ride in the line, its got a forgiving flex pattern with pre-curved biaxial glass and glossy top sheet.
