The Rossignol Contrast Snowboard is a great board to help you get started on the slopes. Perfect for beginners and people looking to hone their skills, it features sidewall and an extruded base to give the rider more control and a way to easily grip the board. Radial sidecuts have been installed which makes it much easier to turn and control as well. The Rossignol is suited for everyone, whether you're trying to improve their snowboarding skills or a seasoned vet.
Tim from Rossignol, the Midwestern rep, talking today about the Rossignol Contrast snowboard. The Contrast is a snowboard in our line kind of built to take that entry level rider and get him up to that advanced intermediate stage quickly. It's a really, really easy snowboard to ride. What we do here, technology wise, we will use a 3.3K base on this guy for easy glide, easy maintenance. We use a 56:20 wood core, which is a really solid good feeling wood core. We use a radius sidecut, easier to initiate exit turns. We also use a vertical sidewall to maximize your edge hold. The Rossignol Contrast snowboard comes regular and wide.
Loved this board as my first. Super easy to ride and learn on. I am still riding it and will keep it for a few more seasons before I upgrade. My bro and I have swapped out boards and he prefers this over his burton.
The video claims that this boards shape is directional but this website says it's twin. i'm so confused.
