The Morrow Lithium Snowboard 159 can handle anything! With a radial side-cut for smooth turns, a stiffer tail for stability, it proves it can take on freestyle and free-ride runs. The mirror finish protective coating also allows for more speed, plus it looks great.
Me and a friend switched up boards for a day. I would have to say it was quite the adjustment from my Burton Dominant. It was soooo soft and fun to butter with. He is a beginner and so it suits him well seeing that it is a great beginner board since it is so forgiving. I had some troubles taking it at high speeds because there was a lot of chatter. It will work good for the beginner who is taking it slow or if you just want to use it in the park or urban riding on rails. I tried a small 15 foot gap with it too and the take off was a little sketch because it was so soft, makes me wonder what a big jump would be like. Overall not bad though.
This was my first board I owned. I really liked it- I learned everything from the basics to carving on this. The soft flex of the board really taught me how toe/heel pressure affected the board.. and sometimes seemed overly sensitive. At higher speeds the board begins to chatter, and the softness of the board causes it to flex a lot when you do those fast stops.
The waist of the board is fairly narrow, I frequently caught my edge with my size 10 boots. I compensated for this by riding at 21/9.
My friend got this board in a package and he loves it, i tried it out and i noticed it isnt very fast, but you do have alot of control. i would recommend to any begginner or anyone lookin for a nice cheap board.
Got this board 2 years ago for my birthday when I said I wanted to learn to snowboard and well, it did the job. I am now a pretty decent snowboarder and still learning more. Used this board to learn from never being on a board, to now going snowboarding whenever I can. Now that I want to move to the park I will be buying a new board though.
