Staff Review

We have got the Burton Supermodel snowboard. This snowboard comes in some women sizes, it is more of a unisex snowboard, we do have men sizes as well.
The Super Model is a kind of a classic shape, it has a really unique shape in that it is tapered, so the nose is 10 mm wider than the tail, and what that does is it gives you a lot more flow in deeper snow, and it also makes the snowboard that tracks really well, sets turn really well and it turns on a diameter really fun all around kind of free ride snowboard, so great for the back country, steep and deep, something we don’t get too much living in Minnesota.
Hyped on the graphics, artsy farcy look to it, yes we get what we call the pro 45 sidewall so from the waist up through the nose you get the standard 45 degree angle on the sidewall and then going into the tail we add a 10:45 side wall for durability. When you are in the steep and deep, back on the trees maybe, the tail is sunk in the deep snow, you have more of a tendency to slam the edges in the rocks or tree roots or stumps so would have us to kind of helps to protect the snowboard a bit, and again as I have said has a really solid edge and the nose.
Great snowboard if you haven’t tried it, I would really suggest getting on to it, it is more of a quiver snowboard around here in the Midwest, something you would want to add to your traditional Feelgood or Custom for the guys, so that is the Burton Supermodel snowboard.

Pros: Control, Board feel, all around performer Cons: little heavy,

Great all around board. Big enough nose that it makes it nice and floaty in powder but still has plenty of edge control on icy groomers. Fun and mellow at low speeds and very responsive with little to no chatter at high speed. Only con for some people might be that it is a little heavy, so if you're the kind of rider who likes to throw their board around rather than letting your edges do the work, this is not the board for you. If you are only going to have one board for all conditions, this is it as it will get through almost any conditions and is a joy to ride.
