This board is a beaut. Super light and flexible. Turns and carving are smooth as butter. And most importantly, this board is fast! Great price for a great board

Sapient "Outlaw"
The board is very light and flexible. Definitely a park board. I did not like the factory wax job, very slow and sticky, but other than that it's great.

I chose this board because it has a flex-rating of a 4, is an all-mountain board, and has received good reviews.

i was looking just to up grade my board and just ride the mountain for enjoyment not really duing any tricks looking for a newer board with a good and comfortable ride i was wondering if the sapient outlaw was a good upgrade from my 10 year old burton i use?
Anthony S on Jan 26, 2015
Best Answer: The outlaw is my daily driver when it comes to mountain and terrain riding. Its got some good flex for Ollie tricks and butters, it's wicked light with my 2117 acrylic bindings. I get decent air off of small jumps and I'm fairly new to riding terrain. Good board to rip right out of the factory. Been to the local mountain 4 times on the original factory wax and edge tune without an issue. The board came out in 2011 going from a 10 year old Burton to this should surely create some improvement in your riding. but I'd say it was money well spent on my part, hope I was able to help.

Help! Really trying to surprise a wonderful boyfriend so I'd rather not get him fitted in a store. Also, I'm aiming for inexpensive yet good quality. I can't decide what length he is. His shoe size is 9 in US, hes 5.5 ft tall, weighs about 179 lbs. From his chin I measured him at 55 inches but based on his overall size or weight Im getting waaay different answers on sizing charts. Some range from 140 to 160 ! What should I do? The company is sapient but I can't find their charts ANYWHERE
jacky d on Nov 13, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Jacky,
The single best way to get him the perfect board is to chat with our snowboard specialists: 1 (800) 409-7669... they can help you get him set up. Sapient boards are simple but effective. If he is an intermediate + boarder it may not be the ideal selection. His ideal snowboard range will be more like a 156 to 161 length... for most companies. Shoot for a 158cm length or around that. To consider: what is his skill? where do you board most? What is his style (Park?)?
