Jackson D: While I haven't ridden a lot of different boards, I purchased the Salomon Drift Rocker Wide Snowboard last year after I busted my old board, and I couldn't be happier with it. The rocker gives a nice controlled pop off the lip of jumps, and the softer flex is great for rails or buttering on flats. It also works much better at high speeds than I expected, I've never once felt like I am not in complete control and I haven't caught my edge yet. Feb 18, 2014

A shopper asked: Ok so I've been studying boards and have it narrowed down do this Solomon or a k2 playback 2013. I want something to start playing in the park with but still be able to take it on the rest of the mountain. I live on east coast so it's all hard pack.. Which would you reccomend? Or something entirely different? Dec 10, 2013

Matt GStaff: You narrowed it down pretty good, both of those boards are great!

I'd suggest getting the Salomon Drift Rocker Wide Snowboard, it has a more bang for your buck value. You'l love the Equalizer Edges for the East Coast hard pack, the Pre-Sure Rocqualizer is a great profile to slay everything, the Royal Rubber Pads absorb vibrations at high speeds, and the base edge has a Full Edge Bevel which will help you to catch less on rails/boxes.

Have fun this season! Make sure to write a review after you've been on it a few times!

R P: Pretty solid board. Basically learned on the Solomon last year, took it to upstate NY and VT (~10 total days riding on it). It was super easy getting used to and fun at every mountain.

Worth the price and would definitely recommend.
