Fun all around board and def a step up from my last ride board. I demoed the normal width, but decided on the wide because of the clearance needed. toe catch was not an issue, but the wide felt more comfortable given my size

I have been looking at this board (Ride Machete) and the Burton Custom Flying V. Any thoughts/suggestions between the two? The ride seems to be cheaper and a comparable board but that is just based on what I am reading online. I am an intermediate rider looking to advance. Also, I am about 6' and 220 lbs and ride on the East Coast groomed hard pack. All the local shops and rental places here have recommended a 158 - 160 cm but the sizing charts call for larger for me or the 157 - 160 cm wide version of the Ride (and to fit my size 11 boot size). Would you recommend that shorter length as well and/or the wide versions.

Best Answer: The 154cm Ride Machete Wide Snowboard has a weight range of 125 -175 lbs., boards between 157cm - 160cm+ would better accommodate your weight. As for a board's width, with your size 11 boots, it will need to be a wide or have a waist of at least 25.8cm wide.

The Burton Custom Flying V Wide is a great board, but on that east coast ice you'll have a more stable ride on the camber version of the Custom.
