fast and fun!
This is a fast board that can be used anywhere. The twin shape is great in the park and it has a lot of pop. Base is not as solid compared to an extruded, but it is def fast

K2 has one of the best warranties in the business. I've ridden K2 the past seven years and love the boards. I've had boards snap and they've replaced them. I've had a Fastplant for three years now. The things unbreakable. I am buying this fastplant for the park and using my 157 for the backcountry.

How does this board do outside of the park? Like could it classify as an all mountain freestyle?
Matt R on Feb 4, 2014
Best Answer: I use it primarily outside of Park. I wanted a fast flexible board. That's exactly what you get. I really enjoy the speed and the forgiveness the board offers. The one thing that took me a while to get use to is that you can feel every uneven pay off the snow and ice because the board flexes so much. It's well worth the money for an all around board. I typically ride a151, but I chose a154 because I use it more for mountain runs than Park.

also, am if i buy this fastplant, am i buying the 2014 model, or the 2013? thanks
nolly on Nov 23, 2014
Best Answer: I'm not sure what year it is, the-house can answer that, but I can say it's an awesome board. Very versatile, good control and the edges don't catch easily. It's a bit stiff compared to other boards, I guess that's why it's rated as an intermediate board. If you know how to ride well, you'll get a lot of value out of this board.

I'm 5'10" 145 would the 154 be to big for the park? I'm a beginner
A shopper on Mar 8, 2014
Best Answer: I'm around 6' 163lbs intermediate and ride the 154. Last year I had a 155 capita horrorscope and before that a 157 K2 believer.

I feel the 154 fastplant rides more like a 157 at my weight. The inturn feels kind of big and slow, but the board is still snappy. It rides rails like a champ. Spins are not my strong suite so can't really comment on things related to air.

I think you will be happy with the 154, it looks and feels amazing.

Dose this come with the 5 year bambooyah core warranty?
Elias O on Mar 27, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, but I'd contact k2 for specifics. Because you need to find out when the 5 year warranty starts. If you bought directly through k2, then it starts upon arrival. But, they might not have the same policy because it was bought through a retailer (eg. The 5 year warranty could have started 3 years ago when the-house purchased it from k2). Hope that helps

Hey I wear size 12 boots. Is the 157 a wide board or will my boots hang out too far?
A shopper on Nov 30, 2014
Best Answer: Hi,
The K2 Fastplant snowboard will be close, but I afraid it will be a bit too narrow for you.
Generally I suggest that riders with size 11+ boots ride boards that have a waist width of 25.8cm or wider UNLESS the boots have Shrinkage Reduction Technology.

I was looking to purchase this board. I am about 5"11" and weight about 215 lbs. Which board would work better for me 157 or 160?
A shopper on Nov 25, 2014
Best Answer: If your looking for more of a park/freestyle board go with the 157cm.. Mirror an all mt. Board for powder and everything else go with the 160

hey there, im choosing between a DC 155 pbj wide, (i got size 11 feet) or the 157 fast plant, i like how the pbj has the raised edged for easier slides on rails, does the fast plant come with a similar feature? thanks!!
nolly on Nov 23, 2014
Best Answer: The K2 Fastplant does come with a factory tuned 1 degree base bevel which is similar to what DC does on the PBJ Wide.

The Fastplant has won tons of awards this season, if we have it in your size, get it now because it probably won't be here or anywhere else tomorrow.

The K2 Fastplant Snowboard could be matched up perfectly with the K2 Company Snowboard Bindings. Check them out HERE: http://www.the-house.com/k21com06bk14zz-k2-snowboard-bindings.html
