Staff Review
To the men's boards now. We'll start out with the Park category. So with this, we're looking at boards that, you know, you're not limiting yourself to park riding, but they definitely cater to and excel in the park arena.
First off we've got the
Dominant. You know, really this board is designed for Midwest riding. It's got a pretty square shape with a mellow side cut. It's really predictable, stable and easy to ride. This is the first level we introduced the Park Fly Core at. It's a little more beefy between your feet; but reduced swing weight between the tip and the tail.
A couple of new things this year: it does come with the park edge, so again, a thicker metal edge to help withstand impacts of handrails, or boxes, or any sort of abuse you can throw at it. It comes with Lightspeed Vision base, kind of like a skateboard looking graphic. It's pretty rad, like old-school kind of trashed base; and then grip tape top sheet. Stickers will hold on this too, it's pretty rat.
It's a Directional Twin. Comes with centered stance and Directional Flex, but a twin shape. It's more of a mid-wide. This is a board you'd want to ride a little bit shorter than your traditional boards. So if you typically ride a 156, I'd say step down to a 154 in the
Dominant. It's super playful, fun, and easy to ride. So that's your Dominant. You can't go wrong with this piece.

Burton Dominant Snowboard 154 Blem
More pop than a freshly gripped 7-ply skate deck. From mini shred jersey jumps, to triple kink urban ledges, the skate-style Dominant will make you jump for joy like you just found the rainbros proverbial pot o gold. With the endless pop of Infinite Ride, buttery flex of the Park Fly core, and the bite-free Rail Ready tune, you might wonder where the trucks and wheels go, cause this things pretty much a skateboard for snow.
