Description: Ride Machete Snowboard

The Ride Machete Snowboard is a high quality board designed with a go anywhere. Featuring a LowRize Rocker, the Machete has the contact points of the board lifted off of the snow, providing a flat zone under foot. This allows for great control while cutting through the snow. Supporting this is a Thin Construction, with a tapered tip and tail to reduce swing weight, as well as enhanced tip flex, and lastly side walls that run past the effective edge. All of this combines to make the Machete a sharp and quick board.

Key Features of the Ride Machete Snowboard:
  • Shape: LowRize
  • Stance: Centered
  • Flex-O-Meter: 6
  • Pop Rods 1.0
  • Thin Con
  • 85A Slimewalls
  • LowRize Rocker
  • Carbon Array 3
  • Cleave Edge
  • Biaxial Glass
  • Fusion 4000 Base
  • 2x4 Inserts

Best board ever
I own and have riden my 2010 machete over 100 times. Last day last year I ate it on an inferno booter at carinthia. The jump was about a solid 55 ft step down and I over shot it. The tail kinda delamned after that, but this board has been through hell and back. Easily the best most fun board I've ever riden

best board in merica

Into my second season on this board, have used in all conditions from ice to powder and it has never let me down. I am an intermediate boarder, don't spend much time in the park - I prefer steep and fast and this board has been super fun and reliable.

Cool graphics; great price; person I spoke with on the phone said it was a good board.

Does this board come pre-waxed or no?
A shopper on Dec 19, 2013
Best Answer: I bought this board a couple years ago and it did appear to come with a light wax but I would suggest adding an additional coat. I went boarding with my brother only a couple weeks after purchasing this board and I could not keep up with him on his recently waxed board. Hope this helps.

what year is this model?
A shopper on Sep 4, 2014
Best Answer: Pretty sure it's 2 years old 2012 model
I have a 2013 and 2014
We all ride variations of machete , you should be getting a killer deal on the board because it's a few years old but it's a great board

I have a size 12 boot. Will this board be too small for me? I don't see a wide version of this available and love the board.
Cory P on Feb 9, 2014
Best Answer: FWIW - I have a slightly open stance...a meager 3 degrees on each foot. I wasn't previously accustomed to the stance but wanted to optimize terrain park usage, and found it easily adaptable. Most boots have a larger toe box on the inside of the boot which creates additional absolute length with an open stance.

I think mine is 11 or 11-1/2, and prior to boning the board into a rail (don't wanna talk about it ;P), I was quite comfortable with the width. I was initially concerned about the clearance prior to arrival, but there was plenty of room for my Burton toe cups which add to the boot length ever so slightly in addition to the open stance. I hadn't washed out or "felt" any interference. Hope it helps.

I wear a size 11 boot, would the board be too narrow for a large binding?
Zachary W on Sep 12, 2014
Best Answer: It really depends on a few things. What length Machete do you plan on getting? What company makes your size large bindings?

What are the main differences between this board and the 2013 DC Lauri Pro?
Looking for a board to grip on firm/groomed snow. But also be able to hit the park with from time to time... I'm 5'11 and 170 lbs. the Lauri Pro comes in a maximum size of 153 cm. Is that too small? Trying to decide between Lauri Pro and Machete... also thought about 2013 DC Ply
