Staff Review

So here we got the Burton T6 snowboard. A very unique snowboard in Burton's lineup, originally developed with Terje Haakonsen. He was looking for a very predictable kind of precision sort of ride. It's one of the two snowboards in a line that comes with the Alumafly honeycomb core. What that gives you is a core that's 90% air by volume. It's incredibly lightweight. It's very predictable and that we can fine-tune it. It's man made. It makes for a real kind of mechanical ride, like in and out of every turn you are going to find that it really kind of accelerates you out of that turn.
It's real quick snowboard edge-to-edge. It is a little more narrow than our average snowboard and comes with a pretty tight sidecut, so you are going to find it's very quick edge-to-edge. Couple of cool features about this outside of the Alumafly core would be the Smooth Ride technology. So we add some dampening pads under your front foot and your back foot. You get a Sintered N20 WFO base, essentially the highest grade P-Tex available for purchase right now. You can't go wrong with it. It's incredibly fast and durable.
Stainless steel edges for longevity and pressure distribution edges. So along the snowboard binding, we pull the edge out half a millimeter to give you a little extra to kind of bite into your turns. So, you won't be sliding out on high speed turns, even in icy conditions like we find here in the Midwest. A really great snowboard for someone who is looking for a fun ride. I mean this thing will track over anything you put it against. It's definitely not for the faint-of-heart. Not recommended for beginners. So, cool. That's your Burton T6 snowboard.

Test pilots like Terje Haakonsen and Nicolas Muller fly through snow and sky at supersonic speeds armed with an arsenal of weapons. Pros: Fast, Stable , Cons: Damper pads,

Not for a beginner rider... Amazing speed and super responsive can carver down an ice burg guy an amazing ride. Just try not to hit anything due to the alumi core may dent like pressing on the fins on a radiator... Just point and go Mach 10 bomb speed.

Pros: Crisp and responsive, Cons: New models are expensive,

I bought this to replace my 2008 T6 that I loved, but was stolen. The 2009 is pretty much the same. I also used to ride the 2005 T6. These newer T6's are a big upgrade from the older models - the vibration dampening actually does make a difference, it's not just marketing b/s. I can ride all day long and keep up with the younger folk, and my knees don't complain even when riding in the choppy stuff.

Pros: Great edge hold., Super light., Ultra soft ride. Cons: Smooth Ride pads. (typical),

Being the most dough I've spent on a board, I had huge expectations for this bad mother. I could immediately tell after the first run, that every one was met. And then some! I mean what can I say that hasn't already been said? The T6 is super fast, smooth, responsive, light, poppy, and most of all fun! I've finally found a board that will take my riding to the next level. I've ridden it on everything from icy east-coast moguls, to deep powdery diamonds and everything in between, and so far this board is worth every penny! Landing big air on this baby feels like you have a pillow strapped to your feet. It's not choppy at all, and some call it too stiff but I disagree. The Smooth Ride pads did sort of start to peel off on me but I just glued them back on without another problem. I would be hard pressed to find a replacement for this board in my quiver, and I honestly don't think I need one.
