Hello my name is Bob and I work at Burton Snowboards. We're here today at Afton Alps in Hastings, Minnesota. I'm here to talk about the new '08/09 technology. First off we're gonna start off with some Women's snowboards. Right here I've got the Burton Blender snowboard. You can see that it says Blender on it from afar, and it actually says Burton on the other side. See that? Remind you a little bit of Lite-Brite back in the day?
This is a new snowboard that we offered in the line this year retailing at 400 bucks; women specific, it's a softer parts specific snowboard true twin, meaning it's got a centered stance twin shape and twin flex. It actually was a Top 10 good wood snowboard this year - pretty rad for a new snowboard to the line to take those honors. It comes with a park-fly core, negative core profile so it's a little bit thinner between your feet which makes for a softer, more playful feel.
It actually has a scoop nose and tail - little spoon nose and tail action. This makes for a real buttery overall feel, little more durable edge; it's got the park edge so it's a beefier, metal edge for more durability when you're sliding handrails and boxes. It also comes with a 10:45 side wall so again, more durability. Great snowboard for any gal looking for an all-around park and shred stick. So, that's your Burton Blender snowboard.
