Just purchased a 155 Salomon assassin. I am about 5,9 165 lbs and size 11 feet. I just got the board yesterday I'm a little worried the waist width is too narrow. I've ridden a few 25.2 waist width boards and didn't seem to slow down at all. I'm goofy stance at right foot more than 15° and left foot about 15°. My question is did I buy a snowboard too small? Should I sell it or return it and get the 157w? Should I wait until my hill opens and test it out? My last board was a all mountain 157 with a waist width at 26 so I was trying to drop a couple cms for more freestyle/park riding. I have a pair of burton progression 2014 boots. What would you recommend for boots if I was to get a new pair?

BEST ANSWER: Hi,
With 11 boots you are close on a 25.2 width board. As you ride with your feet in a bit of a V you should be ok. Have you mounted the bindings to your board and strapped them on? That will tell you loads.
Would a 158cm be too narrow for a size 12 boot at 15 -15?

BEST ANSWER: Good Day!
For this Salomon Assassin it will be close, bit I believe it will be a little narrow. Generally I suggest that riders with size 11+ boots ride boards that have a waist width of 25.8cm or wider UNLESS the boots have Shrinkage Reduction Technology.
I'm an expert rider that already has a pow stick and wants a board to ride pow and hit park . Assasin or ultimate ride ? Thanks for your thoughts

BEST ANSWER: The Ultimate Ride is a great board, but I like the aggressive pop and nature of the Assassin.
Hello! I am an intermediate rider and I am wondering which size is better for me... should I go 157W or 160W? I am 6.3" tall and I weigh 175 lbs. My boots are size 12 Nitro Venture TLS.

BEST ANSWER: At 175 lbs the 157cm Salomon Assassin Wide Snowboard will fit you best.
I'm on a 155 Salomon Assassin and finding I want to go up a size. Riding lots of park and pow too. I'm 6' 185lbs size 11 feet. Would the 157W or the 158 be a better fit. Which would be better out of the two for throwing tricks?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The 1cm difference between the 157cm W and the 158cm won't be noticeable.

The 157cm W's waist width will give you more confidence to rip harder without catching your toes and heels.

Get the 157cm Salomon Assassin Wide Snowboard.
So if I wear size 11 vans boots should I go with the 157w? Or try the 155?

BEST ANSWER: Hey George! Good question. Have you snowboarded before?
