Description: Slash Happy Place Snowboard

The Slash Happy Place Snowboard is perfect for both new snowboarders and those who are a bit more experienced in the sport. Designed with ease-of-use and reliability in mind, the happy place board features a unique interwoven core made from two different types of wood, giving it a surprising amount of spring while still giving the rider full control. The laminate finish helps provide that pop that experienced snowboarders expect from their boards, allowing for stable control during even the most difficult maneuvers. If you are looking for a great first board, or the next step up, the Happy Place can take you there.

Key Features of the Slash Happy Place Snowboard 149:
  • Stiffness: 3
  • SNAP CRACKLE POP: This core is made out of alternating poplar and beech stringers that give it strength and liveliness. Our swiss engineers also inlaid 4 sections of sturdy spruce into the tail and nose area to increase precision and get the best pop out of the board. We use this in the park and street specific boards.
  • TRIAX FIBERGLASS: Triax Fiberglass provides superiour pop, consistent torsional flex , and more overall response.
  • SWEET SPOT: 2 cross-shaped carbon fibers placed from the contact point of the nose and tail to the middle of the inserts. This configuration increases POP and strength, bringing more play into your riding.
  • ULTIMATE TRACTION: Ultimate Traction is a small counter radius(bump) placed in the middle of the board''s sidecut. By positioning this bump instead of using a traditional sidecut, we have improved edge hold and center stability by not only relying solely on the board''s outside contact points. You will have more control of your board especially on ice, less fatigue turning the board and lots more fun!
  • TIP PROTECTORS: Thin and light, but surprisingly strong, aluminum protectors on the tail and/or nose protect the board from the damage that can result from impacts. This small detail makes a big difference for the durability of the deck, especially if your repertoire is more park/urban focused.
  • BASE 6000: This sintered base is fast, dense, durable, and ready to perform. It has been specially made for all your street and park needs. Most companies use extruded and lowdensity base materials so "it can be easily fixed." But wouldn''t you rather have a base that you didn''t have to fix?
  • BELT FINISH: The belt finish is our standard base finish. It gets your base optimized before we fully wax the board.
  • EDGES: Our edges have 35% more steel than stock edges from other companies. They are quite simply stronger and more durable than the alternatives. They feel substantial and will take a beating.
  • KICK STAND: Our Identity shape saves material and weight but also stands up without tipping over like rounded boards do!

Why did you choose this?
The-House.com Store
I read a Riders Review and he and his "crew" rode and tested over 100 different boards and made a list of the top 40 and this made the top 5. Had to look it up saw GiGi made it and knew it would be a great buy.

Will this board be able to handle everything from pow to park to groomers?
Ariana P on Nov 6, 2014
Best Answer: Yes! I bought this snowboard last year and it was the best decision I made. It has become my favorite board I own. I used it in the east and it rode extremely smooth on the groomed trails. In the park it has a great supported landing that feels like you are landing with out any effort on your knees. Then when I took it out west the camber was the perfect balance to where you could stay afloat in the pow without leaning aggressively backwards. I highly recommend this board.

I weigh 170 lbs, my boot size is 10 and I am 5'7. Will the 152 work for me? I mainly ride park.
phin0816 on Nov 16, 2014
Best Answer: Phillip,
Slash suggests the Happy Place Snowboard 152 would work great for you. Note that if your feet are continuing to grow, you may want a little wider board.

Ardeshir P on Nov 13, 2014
Best Answer: With a stiffness of 3 this should be a really buttery/playful board.
