I used this board all last season and it served me well from cruising down the mountain and even getting into the park, but it is definitely more for free riding. The board handles well under all conditions icy to powder and everything in between. It was my first board and has a good price I would recommend it to anyone that is into cruising or just getting their first board as a beginner to intermediate.
"definitely a beginner board.."
This was my second snowboard that I ever bought. I got it from a big 5 sporting goods store and it lasted me a surprisingly long time. I definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone that wants to learn how to jib because this boards edge completely split open on me when I did a box.
I owned a Lamar Intrigue for about a year before selling it. I was looking for an intermediate level board at the time and to me, this was not what I should have gotten. It seemed too stiff for the things I wanted to try but that said, it was good for just riding and carving down mountains. At the same time, there are better and cheaper beginner boards out there.
