Staff Review
Dave McCaul here at the House. Here to talk to you about the K2 Select snowboard. It comes in the regular version and a wide, which I will show you in a second. Basically, you are looking at a great snowboard for anybody that is just starting through the intermediate level. It can do pretty much any type of riding. It is set up as a directional twin, so it can be ridden with a longer nose than tail or pretty symmetrical, or it is good in the park or the powder. It has got sidewall construction, so it is going to hold up really good as far as durability, and then also grip really good on icy hard packed terrain. The extruded base is a die-cut base, so it has got really good pop to it. It is also very easy to maintain. It doesn’t require quite as much waxing as a sintered base would. Other than that, it has got a nice progressive side cut, so it is going to be a good carver for you, good responsiveness to the side cut. Other than that, the K2 stuff, as always, just really good quality: not much of a comeback on warranty. Actually, probably less than any other brand we carry. But it is just a really good intermediate all mountain snowboard. It can do pretty much anything for 95% of the guys out there. And here we have the wide snowboard. It has slightly different colors from the graphic, just a little extra width for the 10 ½ plus crowd. Other than that, the only other thing I really forgot to mention on it is that it has a 3 degree base bevel, which is really good for anybody that is doing any kind of rails in the park or just starting out. It is just going to help you catch an edge a lot less and definitely protect you while you are on the slopes. So yeah. That is the K2 Select snowboard.
