Dave here at the House, talking about a super cool women's snowboard: the
Forum Spinster snowboard. This one is the Chilly Dog version, Chilly Dog being
Forum's way of doing the reverse camber or rocker.
They do it right, though. They have a nice elliptical curve going from the center out, so that when you press it, it's going to go mostly flat. You'll get really good contact with the snow, for rails and boxes. It does lift the edge off a hair, so you'll catch an edge less with it, but float really good when you come across the good stuff. It's going to press like a dream.
It's basically a super cool all-terrain freestyle snowboard. It has a twined out shape for the all terrain freestyler, anywhere from entry level to advanced with the forgiveness of the Chilly Dog technology. It has a die-cut high-end base that takes waxing pretty well. They come from the factory just crushing it with the wax. Definitely enough to shred for five days at least. Bi-axial glass in this one will keep it soft and torsionally forgiving.
The deck is softer flex, making it very good for pressing and jumping, and midwest or east coast riding. If you're going through a ton of powder or only free-riding, you should go up to a higher-end model. However, it'll be perfect for 90 percent of the people out there.
The nose and tail are pretty low profile to reduce the swing weight, to get that jibby performance that a lot of people are looking for. The
